God turns people over to that and to those whom they place their trust over God. We are under Judgment. Pride comes before a fall. Psalm 1 addresses those who will not, ultimately, stand. And, of course, those under the influence of controlling substances, including pot...have a difficult time not falling.
Mike, a cousin explained that by accusing their opponent of doing what they themselves stand for and do is a debate tactic. It puts the other guy on the defensive & spreads seeds of doubt while giving the appearance of holding the moral high ground.
What do you call a man impeached by a unilateral communist cabal in Congress? You call him ‚ÄúMr. President.‚ÄĚ The Dumbocrats still haven‚Äôt figured out that the reason they lost the 2016 election is because they are LOSERS!!!
the editorial board HC wrote: .... The ... two articles of impeachment. The first accuses President Trump of abusing the powers of his office by withholding military aid and a White House meeting while pressuring Ukraine's new president to investigate his political rival and a debunked theory about Ukrainian interference in the 2016 election.
These are serious charges and well-grounded in facts assembled throughout weeks of testimony. The House has ample justification ... to send the matter to the Senate for a trial and verdict as to whether they are so serious that the president must leave office.
...steps both political and pragmatic taken by all parties involved have marred the proceedings to date. Not only has the president offered no cooperation with the investigation, he has also offered no apology and no remorse for conduct that even many of his defenders who oppose impeachment have called a brazen misstep. House Republicans have followed the president‚Äôs lead by mostly refusing to engage on the underlying facts for the allegations, making disingenuous complaints about ‚Äúhearsay‚ÄĚ and declaring the process ‚Äúa sham.‚ÄĚ...
--- "Americans are counting on Senate for...fair trial of Donald Trump"
When you listen to Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and the other Dems talk, remember they may be doing what the psychologists call projection. They put onto Trump and Repubs the very things they themselves are guilty of doing. They look down their Pinocchio noses at others for their own darkness. The only question is, are they really that unaware of themselves, or is it just a technique they are practicing?
What stark hypocrisy from both Senator Shumer and you, Jim. By ‚Äúfair trial,‚ÄĚ do y‚Äôall mean the kind of fairness extended to the president in the kangaroo court that just took place in the House? You really are pathetic, Jim, as are all of your commie comrades. May God convict you of your continual wickedness.
Senator Chuck Shumer wrote: .... I hope America was watching the Republican leader deliver his speech. I truly do. Because most glaring of all, was the fact that Leader McConnell’s thirty-minute partisan stem-winder contained hardly a single defense of the president on the merits,
To my Republican colleagues: our message is a simple one. Democrats want a fair trial that examines the relevant facts. We want a fair trial. The message from Leader McConnell, at the moment, is that he has no intention of conducting a fair trial, no intention of acting impartially, no intention of getting the facts,
Is the president’s case so weak that none of the president’s men can defend him under oath? If the House’s case is so weak, why is Leader McConnell so afraid of witnesses and documents? We believe the House’s case is strong … but if the Republican leader believes it’s so weak, why is he so afraid of relevant witnesses and documents?
.... Leader McConnell claimed the impeachment was motivated by partisan rage. This from the man who said, ‚ÄúI am not impartial. I have no intention to be impartial at all‚ÄĚ in the trial of President Trump. What hypocrisy....

It is far fetched. It doesn't get less far fetched if Putin said it. Besides, Putin is leftist. Democrats are leftist, too. Dems have for decades sympathized with those at Putin's end of the spectrum. Their continuing efforts at revisionism will fail. Fail with them, or get your history down, Jim.
Jim, just because Putin is the post-modern czar doesn't necessarily make him wrong in this case. He had in credible influence over President Obama; remember the "I'll be more flexible after the election" statement? You have declared Trump's supposed unfitness for office and grounds for removal removal from office since he was elected yourself. But now having gotten what you wished for, perhaps it's not the glorious victory you desired. Perhaps you believe Putin this time as well? And Country Boy may well be proven right about Trump's re-election as a response. The Democrats, having overplayed their hand, will very likely come out the losers, having tilted at windmills of their own making. The Republican party and the American citizens will very likely come out the winners. And Truth will come out as a winner.
I believe deeply that you Progressives are forcing your own version of Dominionism on this nation which you often accuse us of doing. Trump stands in the way. We Christians desire to live in peace & spread the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ while living it out without fear. You seem to advocate anarchy. Join with us, Jim. Lay aside your hatred, racism, and liberalism. Take up your cross and follow Jesus. Walk with us as we all follow after Him.

Why should I be happy, QC? That a President should be impeached? While the Democratic Congress did the proper thing, many of them already know it's going to be a Quixote victory. The party does the impeaching never comes out the winner of it.
Censoring Trump may have been the better thing to do‚Ěó
That's just it, Common Sense. Truth does matter and we don't get to just make it up to suit our current circumstances or whims. Isaiah 59 addresses this issue, a passage I have overused. But God's holy and inspired word condemns this nation in many ways, and Isaiah 59 describes and condemns the Impeachment process. If there were something worth condemning, then of course this woukd be a just process. But in their eyes only the President himself is worth condemning, and any means justifies, in their minds, their ends.
Yes, many like Jim are happy tonight, JAG. I am also reminded of the verse regarding how long weeping endureth and when joy arrives. Perhaps the correlary is true regarding mirth? A young Bablyonian ruler was once having a joyous, rockin' good time until his time was cut short. We dont know what the Lord will do, necessarily, in today's situation. But we do know who is the Author of truth, and who established the end of all of this rancorous uproar. Can't trust in princes, congressmen, senators, attorneys general, presidents, etc, but can surely trust in the Lord our God. May His will be done.
If they want to impeach the President on the evidence they have then all current, past and future politicians in every branch is and was eligible to be removed. Evidence against a one specific party's ideals isn't evidence against the whole nation.

Why Jim; You do realize that's the first good news you've post about your illustrious President.
I think it's a foregone conclusion what's going to happen in the Senate - - the Gilded Age continued.
