Some shocking things Chick-fil-A funds
The Chick-fil-A Foundation’s recent announcement about its future funding again reaffirmed its redirection and capitulation. It just so happens that the same three groups targeted for years by LGBT organizations as anti-LGBT “hate groups” just happened to be the same ones that would no longer be funded: The Salvation Army, Paul Anderson Youth Home and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Chick-fil-A’s press release acknowledges that these groups were “characterized as anti-LGBT groups” but never dispels that. They give excuses, basically, as to why they had funded these three remarkable organizations but would no longer.

For those defending Chick-fil-A and pretending we haven’t witnessed their progression of capitulation, the Salvation Army sees it for what it is, stating in a press release: “We’re saddened to learn that a corporate partner has felt it necessary to divert funding to other hunger, ...

Thanks for the link brother! The below is a cute and paste from the link:

Like the council, Chick-fil-A has promoted traditional Christian values, such as marriage being limited to a man and a woman.

But a 2017 tax filing showed Chick-fil-A donated to the SPLC, which still lists the council as a “hate group.” It also gave money to Covenant House, a homeless shelter that is pro-LGBTQ; YWCA, a pro-abortion group that partners with Planned Parenthood; the Pace Center for Girls, another pro-abortion group; and the New Leaders Council, which says it promotes “a more progressive political and cultural landscape.”

Paul probably wouldn’t of eaten at Demas’s restaurant since Demas was a backstabber. Alexander the coppersmith, Demas, and the “good Christians” who run Chick Fil-A. Thanks for gladly taking the help of millions of Christians Chick Fil-A, and backstabbing them later with unrepentant wicked “charity.”

I don’t eat at Chick-fil-A simply because I don’t especially like their food. If the Apostle Paul had refused to eat food from merchants who didn’t uphold Christian values he’d have starved to death.

Nice of you to be concerned with Chick-fil-A's bottom line, Jim.

Matthew 5:17-20

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Do you go to any stores at all on Sundays? Do you drive your car or just walk? Orthodox Jews have a certain distance they are allowed to walk and no further. In fact, in the Miami Beach area, they tie little ribbons or strings to trees or light posts or traffic signs to show this distance. I remember reading of a court case that some persistent atheist brought against them, saying using the public street signs was not allowed for religious purposes.
Of course, if you think Sunday observance is so important, you would also want to stop eating pork, so no more Southern hams or barbeque for you, brother. And shellfish too!
Sir, with respect, there is a great deal of ignorance displayed in your post.
Please, inform yourself.
As marriage, work, procreation, or the time unit of a week, the ordinance of the day of rest was instituted by God himself for man, it goes back to creation.

There is only one Sabbath and that is Saturday. Dr. Rugh had a good sermon about that
Dr. Rugh wrote:
Nowhere in the Old Testament is there any word that the Gentile nations ought to observe the sabbath , or keep the law. It was for the nation Israel. People come presenting supposed truth that will help us be more godly and will stem the tide of decadence around us. These are subtle forms to corrupt the sufficiency of Christ and His work accomplished in our lives.

Going to chic fil a is not like going to church and the only form of hearing the gospel there was when they played Christian music over the speakers. That changed to Just playing the instrumental version of the songs played prior. The founder tried to run the business with Christian values. That is no longer the case. This place is only different than the other fast food places by being closed on sundays. I notice that the great customer services is also declining where as it used to be. Maybe if they would repent like Gods church should be repenting the place would be better. God help us all.

I got in a serious dispute on this site for trying to parse the moral law from the Mosaic Law, but I think, Doug, you ought to re-examine how the Lord has directed us to live. While we are not bound by the cleanliness laws impacting pork and shellfish anymore as in the Lord Jesus we are made clean and able to approach Him and the Father, we are also not absolved from following His principles. "Sabbath" observance, whether that's the Christian Sunday or whatever you want to term it, is still part of the Ten Commandments, and I don't see any of them having been taken off our list of how to live.

Also, sir, how well I do something doesn't make it any more right or any more wrong. The Lord is the crafter of "right" and "wrong," not my behavior or performance. And not my Jewish neighbors or cousins either.

UPS,

Frankly, it’s hard to straddle between being a “Christian” company and appeasing culture. It’s hard to find a charity that isn’t either strongly Christian or otherwise antithetical to Christ. If they want to straddle the middle, perhaps they should just create their own charity. I think their better off serving chicken Corem Deo, like their founder.

The Scriptures tells us to to be in the world, but not of the world...

Every single big USA company, literally without exception, supports something or someone that is sinful...

If we take the stance of boycotting wicked companies, than the next step is to become hunter gatherers and live like the Indians, because it would even be wrong to buy the tools you need to farm...

The Lord is very aware that this world is full of wickedness, and he knew that we can't base our lives off of the decisions of others. Rather, we should be careful to not directly support wickedness. If you think that you are directly supporting wickedness by buying from any US company, than every dollar you spend is being used for wickedness by someone. be it the man who cuts you grass, and uses the money buy cigarettes. Be it the charity who supports homeless people and may involuntary supporting drug addict. Being in the world requires us to buy the goods of the world. Being "of the world" would start when we directly support Planned parenthood, SPLC,or the DNC. If your monetary exchange is for a chick-fil-a sandwich, your not supporting wickedness.

Well, I have never read where the pope has said that he hates God and desires to serve satan. And, I have never heard of the mormon church saying they are worshipping satan. And of course I could go on and on. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, then it is probably a duck. If I only frequented places that I truly believed were Christian, then I would be homebound.

Hillary and Obama have both said they were born again Christians. The only way we can personally discern the truth of that in our hearts is to “judge” their works which would obviously include their social donations.

Now for clarification. I have never believed that Chick-fil-A was a Christian organization. I have always liked their food and in my area they have an extremely friendly staff. If someone decided to boycott this organization, then I would disagree with that, but would understand and support their decision. IOW, there are certain businesses that I boycott.

Each of us view these things differently. Therefore I want to thank all of the below posters.

Thanks for your thoughts Marty and I feel your frustration. I would be thrilled if Mr Cathy came out and said the Foundation was wrong to make such donations and they will stop. However I do not know what amount of control he has over the Foundation legally. The Foundation has never said that I can find that they would not donate to groups that support liberals or LBTQ groups, thus no hypocrisy from which to repent. They are a corporation not a person

UPS, I hope when Christians confront you about being a hypocrite that you don’t blow them off and actually repent. Personally, I probably have bad associations but I don’t donate money to causes that persecute Christians like the SPLC. I don’t care what they did, I care what they will do once fronted:
