“Over 1,000” commit lives to Christ at Kanye West’s Sunday Service in Baton Rouge: pastor
Thousands of people gathered for Kanye West’s “Sunday Service” in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, after a last-minute announcement Friday.

Curvine Brewington, a pastor at Crossroads Church in Lafayette, Louisiana, attended the event and shared his experience on Instagram, saying there was an “altar call” and “over 1,000” people gave their lives to Christ:

ALWAY[S]: "BUT I WOULD YE SHOULD UNDERSTAND, BRETHREN, THAT THE THINGS WHICH HAPPENED UNTO ME HAVE FALLEN OUT RATHER UNTO THE FURTHERANCE OF THE GOSPEL;

SO THAT MY BONDS IN CHRIST ARE MANIFEST IN ALL THE PALACE, AND IN ALL OTHER PLACES;

AND MANY OF THE BRETHREN IN THE LORD, WAXING CONFIDENT BY MY BONDS, ARE MUCH MORE BOLD TO SPEAK THE WORD WITHOUT FEAR.

SOME INDEED PREACH CHRIST EVEN OF ENVY AND STRIFE; AND SOME ALSO OF GOOD WILL:

THE ONE PREACH CHRIST OF CONTENTION, NOT SINCERELY, SUPPOSING TO ADD AFFLICTION TO MY BONDS:

BUT THE OTHER OF LOVE, KNOWING THAT I AM SET FOR THE DEFENCE OF THE GOSPEL.

WHAT THEN ? NOTWITHSTANDING, EVERY WAY, WHETHER IN PRETENCE, OR IN TRUTH, +++CHRIST IS PREACHED+++; AND I THEREIN DO REJOICE, YEA, AND WILL REJOICE.

FOR I KNOW THAT THIS SHALL TURN TO MY SALVATION THROUGH YOUR PRAYER, AND THE SUPPLY OF THE SPIRIT OF JESUS CHRIST,

ACCORDING TO MY EARNEST EXPECTATION AND MY HOPE, THAT IN NOTHING I SHALL BE ASHAMED, BUT THAT WITH ALL BOLDNESS, AS ALWAYS, SO NOW ALSO CHRIST SHALL BE MAGNIFIED IN MY BODY, WHETHER IT BE BY LIFE, OR BY DEATH.

FOR TO ME TO LIVE IS CHRIST, AND TO DIE IS GAIN.

BUT IF I LIVE IN THE FLESH, THIS IS THE FRUIT OF MY LABOUR: YET WHAT I SHALL CHOOSE I WOT NOT.

FOR I AM...BETWIXT TWO"-PHILIPPIANS 1:12-23 !

Jhn Y; God’s Word is ever so precious in the life of one, who is to be a doer & a hearer of His life changing, holy word. As scriptures tells one in PS 119:11, to hide His Word into ones life, ever so deeply, that one might n’t sin against Thee!

Are you still attending Mass on Saturdays?!!!!!!!!!

The Mass is Blasmphey to Christ; Heb 10:10-12 By this will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. & every priest standeth daily ministering & offering time & again the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down at the right hand of God,

This past Sunday at my Baptist Church the sermon given by Pastor Steve was titled "When A Little Becomes A Big Deal" from Mark 6:30-44. The sermon was about Jesus multiplying 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish to feed 5000 individuals.

Church in the wilderness. The people said this is how church should be: singing, dancing, playing and a golden idol in the place of God and the man Moses.
This is how church should be: no prayer, no sermon, no word, just feelings and music and no judgement. That isn’t church, that is a concert. Where are the settings? Outside.
Get rid of the rap 100% and preach the gospel for an hour, that isn’t too much to ask for. If not don’t call it church, call it entertainment. Preach for an hour and then do 10 minutes of music, they are doing this backwards.
Gospel singers don’t call their worship music church because it is missing vital components. This shouldn’t be called church if it is incomplete. I would rather have an hour sermon and no music than an hour of rap music and no gospel. Hearing the word and hearing it preached builds faith, even without music it is still worshipping in Spirit and in truth for the word is truth.
I'm not surprised you stayed anonymous, Anon.

A good read & a free resources, in a tract booklet. That’s good to have to give out too others. As the tract clearly shows & reflects, the Moderen persuasion of what is known as Decisional Regeneration, that had its roots from Charles Finny Altar Call, persuasions , starting around the 1820’s.

Perhaps the closest modern-day successor to Pelagius was Charles Finney. Like Pelagius, he denied original sin saying, “Moral depravity is sin itself, & n’t the cause of sin.” He believed the whole notion of a sinful nature is “anti-scriptural & nonsensical dogma” & taught that we are all born in a state of moral neutrality, able to choose between good & evil. To choose between being good or being sinful." - Tim Challies

Just saying.

Jim; I hope for Kanye sake, he didn’t have the same Roman Road experience you did, as you clearly, display BAD Fruit!!!

Spurgeon; If the man does not live differently from what he did before, both at home and
abroad, his repentance needs to be repented of, and his conversion is a fiction!

It is not hard to deceive ministers, relatives and friends. But it is impossible to deceive Christ." J. C. Ryle

Thank you Adriel.

A helpful article on Rev 3:20.....

"Holman Hunt’s famous painting The Light of the World was inspired by the verse in Revelation 3:20. The Pre-Raphelite artist created three versions of this image. The original (completed in 1853) is displayed in the chapel at Keble College, Oxford. A smaller pastel version (completed in 1856) hangs in Manchester City Art Gallery. The most famous and largest version (completed in 1904) hangs in St Paul’s Cathedral in London."

https://drawingontheword.com/revelation-3v20-jesus-knocking-on-door/

I realise that the Lord has used this text to bring souls to himself, but that in itself does not justify its incorrect use. Evangelists need to be fully aware of the gospel message and what God says to sinners. Holman Hunt obviously had the arminist syndrome, as he deliberately did not paint a door knob on the outside, thusly showing (as he thought) that the sinner must open to Christ, giving his permission to the Messiah to come in.

Thank you NeedHim also.

Another reminder in how Evanglism is affected when our feet, through our heart & mind, being poured into Scriptures, in what does the Bible tell me & teach me. Will affect my evangelism, in what I say & do, important truths that do matter!!

Justin Peters makes some great worthwhile points in his YouTube video, about Kanye.

Diffandtly some pump your brakes, with big caution coming out of Kanye mouth, in what he says about Rome & Mormonism, TD Jakes. How God is showing him off, references to Prosperity Gospel, n’t good!!

Altar Calls comes from Charles Finny, who had heretical teachings, that were, Gals 1:6-9, aspects!

O’ how theology & doctrine, affect methodology, in you have man centered teachings, instead of the glorious truths, of God centered preaching. As their is a wide gulf between the 2!!
