Kanye West says he will no longer perform his old music: Report
According to TMZ, sources close to Kanye West say that the rapper has decided to never perform his old music in its original form again, saying any of his classic songs he performs in the future will be altered to be “G-rated.â€
Much of West’s discography — which has been extremely popular, to the tune of 21 million albums and 100 million digital downloads sold — contains explicit and vulgar language. He recently called such rap “the devil’s music.â€
Philippians 1:18- “What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.â€
It’s not our job to judge this mans heart but to rejoice that Christ is being preached, changes are happening. The Lord works on us all in different ways and at different levels. May the name of Jesus be glorified.
The main thing I worry about is the fact that he seems to go through stages, and that this is just a fad. Just a while ago he was a massive Trump guy, being very outspoken about his support the President. I may just be willingly ignorant on the subject, but as far as I know that has ended, but now he has this going for him. I genuinely hope that he's saved, and am praying for him. He's obviously searching for something. Hopefully it's not just a Kardashian drama/publicity stunt
Just hope it’s not a fashion statement. But stumbling is part for the course of the redeemed. Working out your own salvation , definitely should be with trembling and fear. But, many just stop after the declaration their a Christian, as if they made the decision themselves .
Law or Gospel writes: Is Kanye West believing the Gospel, or being put under a microscope to see how well he performs?
I'm neither justifying him based on performance nor condemning him for a lack thereof. However, as followers of Christmas it would be unwise not to at least attempt to discern the fruit of true conversion in a mans life. "You will know them by their fruits" is how our savior put it. Truly believing the gospel and being born again will always produce fruit. Sometimes little at first, but always something. The gospel forever changes a man. And praise God for that!
Benny wrote: Just a few things that encourage me to believe perhaps Mr. West's conversion is true: 1. Clear efforts to turn away from his previous state. 2. A humility in some of his statements that probably hasn't been there before. 3. Notice he doesn't presume to preach God's word himself at his new concert events, but has an actual preacher preach for him. From what little I found on his preach he's a solid preacher of God's word. Though it is possible I've found information on the wrong guy. Just some thoughts to consider.
Points well taken! Yes, our heavenly Father can and does save a rich and famous person. I think that the rich can and are more likely to worship mammon, but also the poor can worship mammon. IOW, it is not "necessarily" a bank account issue, but more of a heart issue.
I pray that God has saved this fellow, but will go no further than that.

Whenever I hear about a celebrity coming to Christ, I have a natural disbelief. I don’t ever think it is impossible, but just doubtful. The below says that Christ can save anyone, but He also warns us of just how rare that will be in the case of rich folks.
Matthew 19:23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God 25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? 26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
To John for Jesus ... Testimony’s are many and reasons to rejoice. Seeing the fruits growing in someone’s life is a sure sign of a seed that has been planted by the true and living God.
Good, not that I ever listened to any of his "music." Rap by anybody is intolerable to my ears and my peace, one of the worst genres of all "music." It is a blessing to learn of his turning away from Rap, but more blessed is that he seems to have accepted Jesus as Savior. Praise the Lord.
