Pastor Sukdev Giri of Trinity Fellowship church in Chitwan District has received death threats, he said. He has changed his phone number, but his family and friends are also receiving threatening calls, he told Morning Star News.
In a sign of how the Himalayan country has become increasingly radicalized, Pastor Giri, 59, has been unable to return home from ministry travels since a video of his comments hit YouTube in mid-August....
Challenging someone's gods really seem to get idolaters upset. And that not just true of Hindus but all sorts of different flavors of the same poison. Progressives in this country really get going when told they are wrong, like environmentalists, feminists, LGBT+, etc.
It would seem that need tougher, more durable gods. The True and Living God has incredible long suffering with the sinful behavior of mankind as a whole and people in general, which many now see as slackness, as well as station subject to futility and then individual people. Even those of us called according to His purpose are in a lifelong battle with sin. Instead of destroying us as we rightly deserve, He paid the penalty for our sins and calls us to Himself through Jesus Christ. That's long suffering. That's strenghth. That's a God I can trust in.
