Homosexual candidate wants Christians to support him
Republicans for a half century have built a loyal following among white evangelical Christians. But Buttigieg, like no other Democrat seeking the 2020 presidential nomination, is trying to demonstrate that thereâs a strong religiosity among Democrats, too.
President Donald Trumpâs reelection fortunes are rooted deeply in the unshakable support among religious conservatives. But Buttigiegâs regular references to his own Christian faith offer a counterweight that could be an influential asset in Iowa and beyond as Democrats parry the secular labels that Republicans have tried to apply to them.
âWhat Pete said about welcoming the stranger, visiting those in prison, thatâs what Jesus calls on us to do,â said the Rev. Elizabeth Bell, a Methodist pastor in Burlington who attended a mid-August event for Buttigieg in that city....
John Yurich wrote, âOnly someone under heavy demonic influence would be a Democrat.â I couldnât agree more, John. Not that a Republican couldnât be under demonic influence also, but no one could possibly agree with what the Democrats promote and claim to be a Christian.
Interesting how the Washington liberals began incorporating religion, faith, and faith-based values, all of a sudden, just recently. Anything for a vote. To hear Nancy Pelosi quote scripture into a media microphone, made me cringe, as does Pete Buttigeig, and others. Trying to use God Almighty as a political tool, and to mention Him only when it happens to suit their nefarious agandas when they need to feign empathy, etc., is a line not to be crossed, but one they cross easily, and without hesitation.
Dolores wrote: Jim, you left out one, thou shalt not murder babies in the womb Frank covered it really well. So true.
Thanks sister for your comment and agreement. I think the parable of the sower explains this issue very well.
And thank you for your comment and agreement with me. You and I are on the same page. Political correctness is denying our Lord and that is what politicians, media personalities and teachers must do to survive. And of course I could name more.
It is simply loving this world more than loving our Lord and Savior.
Frank wrote: There is âno American politicianâ that will simply say homosexuality is an abomination in Godâs eyes and all those that practice it will suffer His wrath. Our culture will say that is a form of judgment, but it is simply repeating what Godâs word says. What that means to me is fame and notoriety are more important than the word of God and that applies to many who claim the name of Christ.
Homosexuality is an abomination, abortion is murder, greed is idolatry, the feminist movement is evil in any form and Christianity is an exclusive faith. Luke 6:46 âBut why do you call Me âLord, Lord,â and not do the things which I say?
I think even the politicians who profess to be Christian regard Biblical Christianity as a liability to their careers.
I appreciate your comment regarding feminism. I hear some people make a distinction between moderate and radical feminism, as if the former is OK. Feminism has ALWAYS been rooted in rebellion against God's authority and His having made us male and female. The female is to be an help meet for her husband, look well unto the ways of her household, do her husband good and not evil all the days of her life, be a keeper at home, bear children, etc.

BM recommended a sermon by Paul Washer the other day that covered these changing phenomena very well. He basically commented that our culture has changed our view of God and how we should live.
Some Democrats and a few Republicans Christians couldn't support for the Presidency
1st Corinthians 6:9 Or donât you know that the unrighteous will not inherit Godâs Kingdom? Donât be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit Godâs Kingdom.
