"Southern Poverty Law Center is a sham," Graham wrote on Facebook. "This left-wing secularist group falsely labels Christian and conservative organizations that defend life, marriage, and religious freedom as 'hate groups.' These lies against great organizations including Family Research Council and Alliance Defending Freedom even led to the vicious attack described in this link."
Graham, the CEO of both Samaritan's Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, said it's "a shame that anyone would even consider SPLCâs opinion â they have a history of corruption and virtually zero credibility."
He referenced a USA Today op-ed by former Family Research Council staffer Jessica Prol Smith recalling that a deranged gunman inspired by SPLC's "hate" campaign tried to kill her and other FRC employees at their Washington headquarters seven years ago....
Franklin Graham is a Tar Heel. He, unlike his dad, is not shying from the truth as it relates to this nation and the various activities therein. He is not perfect, but he sticks to that truth. Good on him.
Well said, "Dolores," though I doubt Franklin Graham rates highly in the minds of people who are not believers, and for many liberal Christians, they will dislike any negative review of the SPLC. Morris Dees was fired from the SPLC due to a history of harrassment and 'hanky panky' that he was involved in over the years, but look it up on your favorite web search engine and you won't find anything in CNN, MSNBC, etc. It's like the cover up they made about what a biographer of Martin Luther King Jr brought out about the FBI's report on their surveillance of him. If you read some of it, you will be sick to your stomach, esp. when you hear anyone use his name for anything praiseworthy. Reminds you of that Bible verse from Jeremiah 17:5 Cursed is he who trusts in man.
Apparently you didn't read my first comment to the thread, which is not give SPLC a clean bill of health
media bias/fact check wrote: Overall, we rate the Southern Poverty Law Center, Left Biased based on story selection that favors the Left and through strong political advocacy for social justice. We also rate them High for factual reporting due to a clean fact check record and although they have mischaracterized some groups and individuals, they ultimately apologized, acknowledged their error and made appropriate corrections.

They are pro-LGBT rights but killing queers certainly isn't biblical either
Unfortunately, Adriel, many people do not think Franklin Graham lives up to Paul's standards.
2 Corinthians 2:17 For we are not as so many, peddling the word of God. But as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God, we speak in Christ.
Or Christ's either
John 18:36-37 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world. Then Pilate said to him, So you are a king? Jesus answered, You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the worldâto bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice. ---ESV

Luke 18:9-14 He also spoke this parable to certain people who were convinced of their own righteousness, and who despised all others. âTwo men went up into the temple to pray; one was a Pharisee, and the other was a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed to himself like this: âGod, I thank you that I am not like the rest of men, extortionists, unrighteous, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week. I give tithes of all that I get.â But the tax collector, standing far away, wouldnât even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, âGod, be merciful to me, a sinner!â I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.â ---WEB https://tinyurl.com/yapvm8uy (The Deadly Dangers of Moralism)
Jessica Prol Smith wrote: .... Fifty-one years ago, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. fell to an assassinâs bullet. The SPLC pretends to carry his legacy but weaponizes hate labels instead. Unlike SPLC's name-calling, Dr. Kingâs words and vision stand the test of time. âInjustice anywhere,â he warned, âis a threat to justice everywhere.â...

It is an interesting opinion piece in USA today. đ I wonder if you would find a similar piece from a progressive person in WND? đ
From an earlier USA today article.

Franklin Graham, on the other hand,....
