Now Leftists are Coming for Your Toilet Paper
Showalter remarks that leftists want to make us like socialist Venezuela, where, aside from being reduced to eating cats and dogs, people find toilet paper in short supply. She also quotes the NRDC (National Resources Defense Council) itself:

You may not realize it, but the toilet paper in your bathroom likely comes from some of the most important — and threatened — forests in the world. In fact, Procter & Gamble is driving the devastation of one of the last great forests on earth to produce Charmin, the world’s biggest toilet paper brand — made out of 100 percent virgin forest fiber.

Now we’re running out of time: Between 1996 and 2015, more than 28 million acres of Canada’s boreal forest were logged. This logging threatens the ways of life of hundreds of Indigenous communities, releases hundreds of millions of tons of climate-altering carbon stored in the forest into the atmosphere every year, ...

Yea and amen, brother. Irrespective of what we believe concerning the mechanics, or the ultimate will of God, or the purpose of predestination and election, or of the covenant between Father and Son found in John 17, there is to be made a sincere and definite offer of salvation in the gospel of Jesus Christ to all mankind. Biblically this is found in:

Mark 16:15 KJV
(15) And he [Jesus] said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

The gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ, that he is a Saviour who saves sinners, that he died an atoning sacrifice for sin at Calvary, that his blood can wash away sins, that he is raised from the dead to be a living Saviour and Friend to all who are burdened by their guilt, to all who are thirsty, to all who will come to him in penitence and faith.

It is a verse precious to me, as it is one of those the Lord used in mine own conversion, bro.

Revelation 22:17 KJV
(17)  And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

What a great and free invitation, which is offered to all men. If you are thirsty for those living waters, that eternal life from Jesus; if you are willing to come to him, personally and individually, then you may be assured that the forgiveness of your sins and the gift of everlasting life is yours for the taking.

Alas, spiritual thirst and a heart sorry for sin and a willingness to come to Christ for salvation, to be transformed and live a new life in him, is very rare here in Wales. So although the offer of life in the gospel is made in sincerity, the majority do not desire it.

But those who do desire it, receive it, hallelujah!

True John, but as we have been questioned by the experts, does whosoever really mean whosoever?
There are well over 100 verses in the Bible where we find the word whosoever, and it always means whosoever (whoever), Mike. These "experts" are usually people who are not interested in seeing souls saved.

The gospel is all about the Lord Jesus Christ, who he is, what he has done for sinners, what he is going to do at the end of the world. Those who believe on him, and put their trust in him, and who come to him, and who receive him, and accept him as their Lord and Saviour, will be immediately saved. That is, they will be justified through faith in him and fit for heaven straightway, being born again of the Spirit, and transformed by his power, being immediately sanctified and set apart for God's use, and ongoingly sanctified by way of change, also wrought by God, in due course; which change is not easy, for any who have spent many years in a sinful state. However, is anything too hard for the Lord? Not at all. He can save the very chief of sinners, and already has done, to reveal to the world his ability.

"Whoever" denies my words above, are not yet a Christian, they see not the gospel.

Amen brother! I can think of no-one more glorious than the Lamb of God, the Bread of Life, the Saviour of the World, the True Vine, the Lily of the Valley, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Propitiation for our Sins, the Branch, the Redeemer, the Christ, the Son of the Living God.

What a privilege it is to be an ambassador of such an one, and to take the good news of the gospel far and wide, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

"Unfortunately, that is not how liberals/progressives operate. They act according to a hierarchy of rights that—consistent with progressivism—is always progressing, or changing, or evolving. Right now, for liberals/progressives, sitting atop the totem pole in this hierarchy are so-called “marriage rights” and “abortion rights.” In the past, they called these things not rights but “gay marriage” or “freedom of choice.” Quite shrewdly, however, they’ve framed these “freedoms” as “rights,” along the lines of “civil rights.” Equally shrewd, they push them forward under the mantra of “tolerance.” It’s a brilliant move that’s working extremely effectively with millions...

But here’s the main point: for today’s liberals/progressives, the likes of “marriage rights” and “abortion rights” rise superior to other rights, certainly above religious rights and property rights. We see this in the gay marriage examples listed above. It also applies to the Obama HHS mandate requiring religious believers to fund abortion drugs. In all these cases, there’s one commonality: liberals/progressives disregard the religious rights and property rights that they are steamrolling in the name of gay marriage and abortion."

If leftists had any integrity, which they don't, they might eventually remember that trees are a renewable resource. But since they are mere nut jobs lusting for power, what's true is irrelevant to them.

Thanks, JAG, and completely agree. It's all about control.

Like any religion, there is an ever shifting list of "do's" and "don'ts." Failure to comply with ridiculous demands requires guilt.

It's out of control, esp on college campuses from what I heard. A friend recently related how his neice graduated from a college with a distinct Christian heritage with a large load of guilt over having "white privaledge."

Instead of this false god or set of gods (mostly themselves in their virtual, modernized Tower of Babel), they need to turn to the true and living God who reigns supreme and eternally.

Leroy, your comment reminded me of Trump, while he was answering a question a couple of days ago. The topic was suppose to be the straits of Hormuz situation, but reporters asked him about his "racist"
statements against the "squad", and then someone asked him what he thought of the plastic straw ban. A bit out of whack when the topic was Iran's mischief.

Anyway, Trump answered by asking, "What about all of the other plastic...plates, wrappers, bags, to-go utensils, signage, cups, and the list goes on and on. Yet, these ridiculous people are outlawing straws, and even fining restaurants for daring to hand them out unless a customer asks for one first, because why...because they're ridiculous people, and it makes them feel powerful."

QC says...
My sense is that this is all about guilt. We're guilty because we were born whatever race. We're guilty because we grew up to be in a particular socio-economic status. We're guilty because we produce carbon dioxide, use plastic soda straws, plastic grocery bags, etc. And now we're supposed to feel guilty about using TP. "

Excellent point 👍

The libs love nothing more than playing the guilt trip game. To them it's the best way to trick the masses into doing what they want. And what do they want? Complete, total, and deep control over all people. Even down to how much toilet paper you can use a day...
