Planned Parenthood terminates new president for more ‘aggressive’ leadership
Planned Parenthood removed Dr. Leana Wen as president Tuesday citing the need for a more aggressive leader, less than a year after appointing her, in a move that came as something of a surprise to Wen herself.
The New York Times reports that the abortion giant’s board made the decision after “hours of negotiations,” based on unrest within the organization and a perceived need for a “more aggressive political leader” to resist pro-life legislative efforts across the country.
