Democrats embrace religion in campaign
Buttigieg, an Episcopalian who married his husband in his home church, often invokes his faith on the campaign trail and has tangled over values with Vice President Mike Pence, an evangelical Christian. Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, a practicing Methodist and former Sunday school teacher, recently declared that all of her expansive policy proposals “start with a premise that is about faith” as she cited a favorite biblical verse about Jesus urging care for “the least of these.” New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker has called Jesus “the center of my life” and excoriates Trump for what he calls “moral vandalism.”

John Carr, founder of Georgetown University’s Initiative on Catholic Social Thought and Public Life, urged Democrats to focus more on their personal faith and avoid wielding religion as a political weapon.

Democrats have long had to walk a tightrope with religious voters, given that ...

The Democrats are under heavy demonic influence and are unsaved reprobates without Christ.

Is'nt using the term Democrat with the term religion an example of Oxymoron??

Anything to get the nominals and the gullible to vote for satanic Liberalism and diabolical socialism.

Satan is running their campaign again.

How ironic the article did not mention candidate Marianne Williamson, who comes from a very religious background, is not a politician like the rest of the dwarfs.

The above quote from the article; it's probably the most sensible one in the whole article ❗👍
I agree with many of your sentiments, QC, but of course both Democrats and Republicans have to be continually warned not to be acting like zealots.👎
Of course all of us realize that your definition of Christianity is not the same as ours. You are simply saying our faith should be compartmentalized and none of us would agree with that. Either the Lord is Lord of our entire walk with Him or He is not Lord at all.

No Jim, the path to salvation is narrow and few be that find it. Repent of your sins and trust solely and completely in Christ’s sacrifice.

All politicians, including the ones that you troll for pick and choose when to serve our Lord and when not to.

1Cor 7:2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

A man cannot have a husband nor can a woman have a wife. Anything that falls outside the parameters given here is lmmoral.

The key point here is that these candidates are using Scripture and faith as a crutch to do and justify what they would have done anyway, not a guiding principle through the work of the Holy Spirit to do what they normally wouldn't do as their old selves. For instance, the "least of these" quote is a misquote and misapplication. It's "the least of these my brethren" in that Christians are in view. Also, Jesus was speaking to Christians and the church, not the government.

The rest are the "God is love" crowd who ignore His commandments and precepts and even His definitions of appropriate love in all three of its Biblical forms - philos, eros and agape. They are really Christain Buddhists, wanting to be in harmony with everyone and everything - impossible post-Fall as what communion has light with darkness?
