Climate Alarmists Caught Manipulating Temperature Data Yet Again
A belief in catastrophic man-made global warming should hinge on a couple of key factors. First, it must be shown that in the recent past the Earth was a cooler place. Second, temperatures in the present and in the future must show a dramatic increase in times of increased carbon dioxide. These facts would supply evidence that scientists could use to show that our planet is getting quickly warmer.
Such a graph would look much like a hockey stick.
But weather hasn’t always cooperated with the climate-alarmist version of events. And when temperatures don’t cooperate with climate hysteria, too often we find climate alarmists manipulating data. History — even recent history — gets changed to reflect what should be happening according to those “in the know.”
Geologist Tony Heller, however, isn’t one to rely on what the mainstream media and climate scientists tell us is happening. Being a...

No doubt you heard of the 3 feet or so of hail recently dumped in Mexico. Summer in Mexico and hail. Global warming strikes again!!

You ignore the climate via your eyes of politics. If the overall climate is warming, inter-tidal rockweed should be climbing the rocks. In the past 30-40 years of my observation at the same location, it isn't. Above average temps in one place with below average temps in another prove weather differences, not climate warming. Snow in June in the US is as good an argument against global warming, as heat waves in France are for it. When God wants to use the climate to fulfill prophecy, he won't be just making it as warm in Europe for a couple summers as it is every year in Utah, nor will he send a tornado to a trailer park in Missouri to avenge the stupid things coming out of Washington. Wake up and smell the coffee.
Jim, just beacuse scientists said it years ago doesn't make it true. Same argument can be made for evolutionary theory. If it's old, it must be true. That kind of thinking killed George Washington through poor medical science. Just because someone told Johnson doesn't make it any more true. Saying something over and over again doesn't make it true, just obnoxious.
There is no comprehensive evidence that human activity is responsible for global warming. Again, what people want to believe and what is true are very often different things.
"Amidst all the hype, Christians need to first apply 1 Thessalonians 5:21: “Test all things; hold fast what is good.” We are to hold fast to God’s Word, the Bible, and Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Then we need to examine the evidence carefully. As stewards of God’s creation, it will take time and energy to find out the facts. It is too easy to accept a superficial analysis of a controversial subject, in which case we might learn just enough to get into trouble. No, we need to dig deeper than the superficial level.
It is no different than evaluating the creation/evolution issue. At the superficial level, evolutionists can paint a pretty picture. It is only when you dig below the surface that you find out that evolution is unsubstantiated. Since creationists are used to separating data from interpretation (the battle between creation and evolution is not over the data but the interpretation of the data), it is relatively easy to apply the same principles to the global warming issue. So we need to check the real data first. We need to be as objective as possible when examining the data, realizing that bias for man-made global warming and its harms is rampant." (answersingenesis).
So called "Global Warming" is more evidence of mankinds superstitions and ignorance.
Genesis 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Man can pollute a river, a city, etc., but he cannot undo God’s creation. God will Himself destroy it at some time, but it will not happen before then.
In order for the below to occur, then the earth must in fact be intact. Not as the “doomsday” folks teach. And yes, we all have a responsibility to be good stewards of God’s creation.
2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
I think you missed my point, Jim. There isn't any real evidence that human activity is responsible for global warming. Then why is the earth growing warmer? There are many variables.
Still, cleaning up our mess and not making it bigger if we can help it -- regardless of whether or not it affects the global climate -- is good stewardship. Even this must be balanced so that the needs of people and their God given, inherent rights to liberty are protected.

"Snow coated the higher elevations of California, Nevada and northeast Utah on Monday. Snow is coating parts of the mountain West for the beginning of June's second full week as an unseasonably cold air mass infiltrates the northwestern United States." Great comparison, John. Dishonest people can “prove” just about anything from the Bible. In fact, I can “prove” from the Bible that there is no God. After all, the phrase “there is no God” appears a dozen times in the KJB.
It reminds me of hypercalvinism. The people involved with it so want the premise to be true, they will knowingly lie to maintain it, because they can't bear to give it up, even though deep down they know it's false.
So here's the problem. YIA. While i certainly agree with you regarding pollutions effects in local or regional damage -- the garbage island swirling in the center of the North Pacific gyre or what you unfortunately experience in the PRC -- world wide climate change based on human activity is much harder to prove. News items like these discredit those who claim that human activity is THE factor. It's actually hard to prove that human activity a factor at all. Instead, there are other variables, such as the sun slowly growing hotter and the natural pendulum swings in climate foe a young earth. That doesn't negate our responsibility to be good stewards of the world we've been given.
I do suspect that the Lord's trials on the earth via the seals, trumpets, then bowls or viols will be blamed on other factors, like when a third of the fresh water is made bitter or a third of tne sea doesn't sustain life or a third of the trees are burned up. It's coming. Will the climate change gurus point to these environmental disasters and claim vindication for their theories?
