Crips and Bloods begin the most extensive peace talks since riots
The cease-fire talks in Compton were part of an audacious effort by Los Angeles-area gang leaders to curtail violence in their own ranks following the killing of rapper, activist and entrepreneur Nipsey Hussle, whose influence extended beyond hip-hop culture to the realms of business and politics.

Unique among artists of his stature, Hussle, born Ermias Asghedom, remained embedded in his South Los Angeles community, and his biography — a gang-affiliated, tattooed black man pulled into street life before attaining stardom — resonated with young gang members.

Hussle spoke openly of his membership in the widely feared Rollin’ 60s Crips while setting an example by performing with rappers who were Bloods. ...

Possibly bro, but I fear the true blue arminist will never enjoy life, because of fear of not persevering in the faith and perishing at last. Whereas a one-point Calvinist like David Cloud has the best of both worlds.

I was indeed saddened to come across a rather Open Brethren assembly that in its website stated that it was a member of “Churches Together” in its location. That automatically means that like it or not, and maybe it doesn’t realise it, that it is directly or indirectly linked up with both the National Churches Together, (formerly British Council of Churches), and thereby of the World Council of Churches.

These elders (Brethren Assemblies do not have full-time pastors), have indeed compromised, which thankfully is not typical of most Brethren Assemblies.. Even being in involved in the local “Churches Together” means having occasional joint meetings with Roman Catholics, and liberal local Anglican, Methodist and United Reformed Churches, which is indeed very questionable, and sadly compromising with heretical movements!

It is happening, Chris GP. I was a living stone in an assembly in Devon until I realised it was a member of this ecumenical movement. Historic brethrenism is disappearing. And "forsake not the assembling of yourselves together" no longer works with me. However, I DO assemble with other separatists, and it is great! The Lord blesses us by his grace.

Thank you. In the UK, exactly the same apostate grouping is called "Churches Together in....."

The local group starts with the name of the town. This group in turn belongs to "Churches Together in (county)". This belongs to "Churches Together in (country). And this belongs to "Churches Together in (nation). And this is a member of the World Council of Churches.

And so a small church in Aberystwyth thinks it might be nice to join together with other churches, and it goes:-

Churches Together in Aberystwyth
Churches Together in Ceredigion
Churches Together in Wales
Churches Together in UK
World Council of Churches

AHA! Now this is very interesting. I have one more question concerning this apostate body called the National Council of Churches. Is it a full member of the World Council of Churches? I suspect by its very name that it must be.

Billy Graham was perhaps the most famous SBC preacher of all time. He started well, but soon gave way to compromise and became the very embodiment of ecumenism. Adrian Rogers was an excellent SBC preacher whose sermons can be found online. While there were and are many good, conservative SBC preachers, as a whole the denomination has given itself over to a worldly, rock-band form of worship and has abandoned the old reliable KJV in favor of the ear-tickling Westcott and Hort perversions of scripture. SBC seminaries have been hotbeds of liberalism and unbelief for decades, and some congregations accept female and even homosexual “preachers.” The IFB movement started chiefly due to the conscientious obedience of a few men who decided to separate from the compromisers in the SBC. BTW, in most IFB churches, one hundred percent of money given for missions actually goes to missions. In the SBC, about ninety percent is siphoned off for administrative waste.
Thanks for all the info, Tim. Do you have an ecumenical movement in America, where leaders of different religious bodies have conference together, and refuse to evangelise each other?

John, I keep losing my network connection, so I’ll answer as briefly as possible. IFBs are neither C nor A. We have no universal statement of faith, but the vast majority of IFB churches have a similar if not identical statement. You can find the Southern Baptist statement of faith as well as a typical IFB statement easily online and compare them if you like.
And God STILL is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Bottom line, end of story, over and out.
Have you ever been a pilot in the USAF, Tim. Our RAF pilots used to use that phrase in the second world war.

Thanks for your answer. I have found this morning the SBC 2,000 AD statement of faith and briefly read through it. It all sounds very jolly to me, and much less detailed than the Reformed Confessions, which is probably a good thing. I will print it out later, and spend some time studying it. One thing I noticed is that it does not seek to answer questions which a man who has a heart that is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked ought not to be asking.

Do you know any famous Christians who are SBC oriented? And why would one prefer the IFB to SBC; is there a sticking point?

People go to hell 100% contrary to the will of God.
I too believe that every person who sincerely comes to Christ in repentance and faith will be saved. However, when it comes to the question of those who will come, we know that they have to be drawn by the Father. Since not all come, or indeed not all are saved, then the answer is that they are not drawn by the Father. As to God wanting to save everyone, we're back to sloppy reading of the Bible.

Let's take 1 Tim 2.4 "God will have all men to be saved" - Paul is discussing the subject of prayer which he exhorts should be offered for all men. This determines the force of the "all" in passage before us. Is Paul really asking us to pray for all 7 billion people on the earth? If you sincerely believe this to be the case, how is it working out for you? Or is he saying as Calvin wrote, "When he wrote it might have been thought that because kings and magistrates were mortal enemies of the gospel, God had rejected them. He would, however, encourage supplications even on their behalf, for it might prove that some even of them were the chosen of the Most High"? In other words the "all" refers to all sorts and conditions of men.

I will post up about 2 Peter 3.9 later today.

Aye aye!

Tim brother, tell me something, because I seriously want to know. Is it true that IFB's are neither C nor A? That's the first question. And the next is like it, is there a statement of faith which is accepted by all IFB's? And the third is similar, how does your beliefs compare with the SBC Baptist confession of faith? Please remember that we have no SBC Baptist churches here in the UK.

“That if THOU [anybody] shalt confess with THY mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in THINE heart that God hath raised him from the dead, THOU shalt be saved.” God absolutely WILL save anyone who will trust Jesus Christ as the one who died for his or her sins, was buried, and rose from the dead. And if whoever Scott Price is is right, then the Bible is wrong, because the Bible says that God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. People don’t go to hell because it’s God’s will for them to go to hell. People go to hell 100% contrary to the will of God.

It isn't just theology, it's truth vs. error. There aren't two opposing views taught by God, free will and free grace do not mix. It's one or the other.

" It is the duty of those who preach, defend, and promote the gospel to expose false prophets, false gospels, and false gods. God's glory and His character is at stake. The truth must be upheld and defended. It is not enough just to declare truth but lies must be exposed. The ecumenical movement is fueled by this compromise along with the spirit of antichrist.
The god of today that is preached about at 99% of churches is a miserable failure also. False prophets talk of a god who loves everybody without exception but lets the majority of them go to Hell. They talk of a "christ" who died for all without exception and the majority in up in Hell. They talk of a spirit that wants to save everybody but just cannot seem to convince most and the majority end up in Hell. This god spoken of today that fits this description is a god of people's imagination. It certainly is not the God of the scriptures. This means people are committing idolatry by forming a god in their mind that does not match the God of the Bible.
Pray for the deceived people but mock their god. A false god deserves no respect at all.
~ Scott Price
