A Pregnant Woman ‘Is Not a Mother’: Ruth Bader Ginsburg
U.S. Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas and Ruth Bader Ginsburg engaged in a verbal spar Tuesday over several abortion-related legal issues – Including over whether a pregnant woman should be considered a “mother.”

“A woman who exercises her constitutionally protected right to terminate a pregnancy is not a ‘mother,’” Ginsburg wrote in a Supreme Court order.

At issue was an Indiana law that did two things: 1) banned sex-, race- and disability-selective abortions, and, 2) required the burial or cremation of aborted babies. An appeals court struck down the entire law. The Supreme Court upheld the latter segment of the law but chose not to get involved in the former issue. ...

I'd say it's neither of those, but rather, another common liberal forcing agendas, and personal views inbetween lines that don't even exist in the first place. Whether those lines exist, or not, their fellow comrades receive anything they utter as constitutional truth. Apparently, our forefathers wrote that particular article and section in invisible ink that only liberals can see.

From the news:
“A woman who exercises her constitutionally protected right to terminate a pregnancy is not a ‘mother,’” Ginsburg wrote in a Supreme Court order.

Faulty premise. The issue isn't even close to whether the pregnant woman who exercises her choice to abort is or is not a mother.

If there were such a thing as a woman having a constitutional right to terminate her own baby, Ginsburg should be able to point out the words in the Constitution that say so. They aren't there, so she might have as frail a mind as she does a body. Or maybe she just can't read plain English well.

Truly the only valid argument is, the unborn is a human being, and killing it is murder. The courts and the pro-death crowd love to run from this dirty reality with their meaningless distractions.

Then what is a womb for?

And why is a woman created with a womb.

Why is a woman created?

When the conception has begun then she has fulfilled her created role -- She has begun motherhood by the grace of God.

Go forth and multiply.

"And Of Jezebel Also Spake The LORD, Saying, The Dogs Shall Eat Jezebel By The Wall Of Jezreel.-1 Kings 21:23

"That I May Avenge The Blood Of My Servants The Prophets, And The Blood Of All The Servants Of The LORD, At The Hand Of Jezebel.

I remember when "Buzzi" Ginsburg fell, and broke a few ribs a while back. She was up and about, and doing fine when people were actively offering her their organs, and ribs...yes, ribs. Bafoons. Problem is that they were being completely serious at the time, and quite literal, which is what made their comments and offers so ridiculous. Alyssia Milano, again, being completely serious, offered Ginsburg both of her kidneys, which not only shows how unintelligent she is, but Ginsburg had broken ribs, not failing organs.

Just goes to show how hardcore and fearful the liberals are of ever losing their "right" to murder babys, en masse...they'll do anything, even offer their lives, apparently.

It is NOT the job of the government to pay for the needs of pregnant (or any other) woman. In case you didn't know, Jim, there is a dedicated government agency whose job it is to get child support from the real people responsible, the parents.

By the logic of one of your quotes, if a person is a financial burden or emotional difficulty then it is okay to have them murdered, you think that is good policy too?

The real question Jim is do you believe God to be true or are you going follow your liberal liars?

Deut. 24:16

The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin

Maimonides" words, written in his Laws of Kings (11,4):

"Even Jesus the Christian, who thought he was the Messiah... was the subject of a prophesy in the Book of Daniel (11, 14): "...also the renegades of your people will exalt themselves to fulfill the vision - but they will stumble." Could there be a greater stumbling block than this [Jesus]? For all the prophets spoke of the Messiah who will redeem and save Israel, who will ingather all its exiles, and who will strengthen them in the fulfillment of the Torah"s commandments - while he [Jesus] caused Israel to be killed by the sword, their remnants to be dispersed and humiliated, the Torah to be switched for something else, and most of the world to worship a G-d other than the G-d of Israel! But - the thoughts of G-d cannot be fathomed by human minds. For our ways are not like His, and our thoughts are not like His. All these activities of Jesus the Christian, and the Ishmaelite who came after him, are all for the purpose of paving the way for the true King Messiah, and preparing the entire world to worship G-d together, as is written (Tzefaniah 3,9): "For then I will convert the nations to a pure language, that they may all call in the name of G-d and serve Him together."

Has anyone considered the viability of counter-legislation? It’s far-fetched, but what if there were laws requiring mandatory DNA testing to determine paternal responsibility; paternal wage garnishing to financially support the mother and unborn child for the duration of the pregnancy; custody automatically transferring by law to the father if the mother declines custody after birth; in the case of rape or incest, taxpayer dollars are allocated to fund support of the mother and child, including all prenatal health care, mental heath care for the mother and safe housing where the mother will not be in danger of abuse. If men or conservative legislators were actually held accountable for the safety, financial security and futures of the unwanted children in whose interest they are supposedly passing anti-abortion laws, perhaps they might reconsider these draconian measures. — Elisabeth MTR, Connecticut

• This appears to be a clear and unambiguous date, but there is disagreement on the point at when a baby is actually born. Is it:
• when part of the baby is outside the mother's body? ✡
• when the whole baby is outside the mother's body?
• or when the placenta separates from the womb and the foetus has to rely on its own resources to keep alive?
• Some people say that it's odd that a being's right to life should depend on whether a being is located inside or outside the womb
• But they miss the essential point which is that at birth the baby begins to exist independently of the mother.... [ ]

excerpt from, "When does a foetus get the right to life?"

✡ In his Mishneh Torah, Maimonides writes the following: “The sages ruled that when complications arise and a pregnant woman cannot give birth, it is permitted to abort the fetus in her womb, whether with a knife or drugs, for the fetus is considered a rodef [a murderer in pursuit] of its mother … If the head of the fetus emerges, it should not be touched, because one life should not be sacrificed for another. Although the mother may die, this is the nature of the world.”✡

Why is it politically convenient for Christians to fight and hate infanticide Jim?
The Bible, God word condemns it. God hates the hands that shed innocent blood Pro. 6:16-19. No murderer has eternal life. Rev. 21:8.
Those guilty of and supporting this they need to repent to God and trust Christ as their saviour. Acts 17:30.

Psalm 139:13-16

For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

Job 31:15

Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in the womb?

Isa 49:5  And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant…

Jer 1:5  Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Gal 1:15  But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,

I don't see your point, Jim. The viewpoint you just forwarded is easily undone by considering that David wrote of himself as sinful within his mother's womb (Psalm 51:5). I'm not sure he could make that inspired claim if he wasn't a person at the time before birth. Note in that passage that he was sinful from conception.

Same argument goes for Justice Ginsberg, who has proven to be more about the Progressive agenda than the law or Law.

Before it became politically convenient for evangelicals to adjust their beliefs on abortion to match those of Catholics , I would say that it's really appeared they agreed with the Jewish position on abortion.
Ephraim Sherman wrote:
There are at least two significant differences between Jewish law and Catholic law and the hard-line pro-life narrative when it comes to abortion:

Jewish law does not consider the fetus to be a being with a soul until it is born. It does not have personhood. Furthermore, before 40 days, some poskim, or deciders of Jewish law, have a low bar for allowing an abortion.

The Talmud, in Yevamos 69b, cites the view of Rav Hisda that “until forty days from conception the fetus is merely water. It is not yet considered a living being.”

If there is a threat to a woman’s life, the safety of the mother takes precedence over continuing the pregnancy at any stage.

Many sources illustrate this graphically and rather unambiguously, and all modern poskim agree on this. In fact, in certain circumstances, a fetus that endangers the life of the mother is legally considered a “murderer” in active pursuit.
