U.S. Births Fall to Lowest Rates Since 1980s
The number of babies born in the U.S. last year fell to a 32-year low, deepening a fertility slump that is reshaping America’s future workforce.

About 3.79 million babies were born in the U.S. in 2018, according to provisional data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health Statistics. That was a 2% decline from the previous year and marked the fourth year in a row that the number fell. The general fertility rate—the number of births per 1,000 women ages 15 to 44—fell to 59.0, the lowest since the start of federal record-keeping.

With the latest decline, births in the U.S. have fallen in 10 of the last 11 years since peaking in 2007, just before the recession. Many demographers believed that births would rebound as the economy recovered, but that trend hasn’t materialized. ...

With this news story, we see another impact of the curse of Isaiah 3:12, where children oppress and women rule.
American males in the US are not growing up! They are not having enough children to ensure their own family continues. They spend their time on movies about comic book characters, video games, and sports best left to children play (baseball, basketball).
American women are not in much better shape, brainwashed to think they are equal to men and have the right to rule. This is probably the very worst aspect of US Life, that women have given up their roles as mothers and grandmothers and instead go around trying to run Congress or businesses.

I am not a make believe Christian. I embraced Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I would not have been permitted by my Baptist Pastor to have been Baptized via immersion at my Baptist Church in May 2017 if he did not believe that I was not truly saved. My children will learn the Evangelical Protestant doctrine of salvation when they are 8 years old by watching the 4 VHS set of Billy Graham Crusades that I own and then they will at sometime after that embrace Jesus as their Lord and Savior and become saved.

It reminds me of what I read the other day in the newspaper's Personal Advice columnist, Carolyn Hax, about a guy not wanting to marry because he was afraid he would have a 'stay-at-home' wife on his hands. And today's column has another one, about a pregnant 40-yr old wife, not looking forward to the baby's changing her lifestyle. Just in case you thought these were unusual stories, the low birth rate goes to show you how far 'down the road' the US has traveled.
Once again, I will 'Bang My Drum' of the Isaiah 3:12 curse that is what brings this on: children oppress and women rule. Neither are Biblical. Children oppress because the parents won't do A or B without fear of what the children will do, and women rule, well, that's all over the US culture.
Only in some sects like the Amish or Orthodox Jews do you see women at home, raising large families.
The birth rate of all Protestants used to be very high until contraception came along.

When I get married I plan on having 8 children. They will be Baptized via immersion in the Catholic Church, believe every Catholic doctrine, be required to go to Confession once a month after they receive their First Confession, be required to become Altar Servers after they receive their First Holy Communion. They will also when they reach 8 years of age start watching the 4 VHS set of Billy Graham Crusades that I have so they learn the Evangelical Protestant doctrine of salvation.

Great comments, Frank. Feminists aren't the only ones who think children are a hindrance. I was outside on our street conversing with a neighbor when someone he knew drove up. One of the things the driver told my neighbor was that the children in the neighborhood were an effective form of birth control. In other words, children are a hindrance to these men's lifestyles.
Because the average American adult, at least in our region anyway, is too immature and too self absorbed to care about anyone but themselves, the concept of child rearing is something they really don't want to deal with.
It's that radical self-centeredism that the Holy Spirit breaks through as Ne creates that new heart of flesh replacing the heart of stone as a result and evidence of the newly planted faith in Jesus Christ.
Good comment brother! The world is and must grow worse and worse before the end comes. Nothing can slow down or speed up the coming of our Lord. I simply don’t want to be part of the negative things. The below was a rhetorical question our Lord posed.

Luke 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

It's better for some people to not have children. They don't take care of them or worse, abuse or neglect them and there are so many that have been discarded and are waiting for families.
It would be difficult to bring a child into this world now as well considering its state.

Brother Frank, I don't know you personally, of course, but you're no misogynist. Actually, it's men who support feminism that are misogynists, as well as haters of God, since feminism is the opposite of Him having created women to marry, bear children, and guide the house {I Tim. 5:14}.
Women certainly are not blameless in the matter of feminism, but...how many women were on the SCOTUS when the Roe v. Wade ruling occurred? How many women were in Congress when the 19th Amendment {woman's suffrage, or the "right" to vote} was ratified? Feminists largely owe their rights, so to speak, to men, yet it's still not enough and they are still misandrists {i.e., man haters}.
Thanks sister! I have frequently said the real war against women is when society tries to make them relevant in ways that aren't according to their spiritual purpose. That is right in line with your way of thinking.

Do you realize how few people have ever heard of misandrists?

The US is becoming more like Japan, where human beings will soon be extinct, which the environmentalists really like.
This is also a sign of how far from a Biblical lifestyle the US has come to.

Some could blame the church, for not emphasizing the Correct Role of Parents in teaching their children. No, said the Church (and govt too), we will take them off your hands and we will teach them what they need to do. We will set up Sunday schools for the kids, and separate classes for teens, young adults, seniors, etc. That way, each group will study the Best Thing written by our Experts in the Main Denominational Office (or some other Christian publishing house). No, no, education is too complicated and too important to be left to the parents.

High calling of motherhood.

"Her pathway to real salvation was appointed by the Almighty. It is motherhood. "She shall be saved through childbirth" (1Tim 2v15). The first gospel promise was given before any curse was pronounced on man or woman. And the promise wonderfully involved the means of motherhood. "I will put enmity between you [the serpent] and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel" [Gen 3:5]. God our Maker would not allow the human race to perish. Now that Adam and Eve had sinned and Paradise was shattered, the only hope lay in God himself. "I will" is the message of grace. One means was mentioned as the instrumental course of salvation from the devil's clutches. It was childbearing! Deliverance comes, not through man's vocational efforts in the cultural mandate, but through woman's childbearing. How wrong women are when they imagine that their hope lies in imitating men's careers. As they abandon motherhood for the office and factory, they despise God's carefully designed means of breaking the devil's yoke and fleeing the miseries he has inflicted." (W Chantry)

Carl says...
The whole world will soon have Japan's dilemma; not enough youth to service the old."

That country is suffering very badly due to lower young populations...

And the idea that having a desk job instead of using your ten fingers is making it harder and harder to find people willing to actually work...

You can only have so many people working behind desk. Because, behind every desk, there is a person working physically to support that lack of physical work for the desk job. Japan is actually trying to create construction robots that can do things like, install dry wall to help with the labor shortage. That if course will raise prices of labor and make the older generation pay more...

The selfishness of the former generation is biting back at them...

I give no praise to Satan, but his scheme to wipe out the human race is diabolically brilliant. He and his angels have duped mankind into not only cursing themselves but wiping each other out; not through war but through "medicines" and scalpels.

Dolores, you are so correct in your analysis. The whole world will soon have Japan's dilemma; not enough youth to service the old.

Psalm 127 says that children are a reward and an inheritance. Somehow today's generations have lost touch with this.
Yes brother, they sure have lost it. Women were designed to get married, have children and be a keeper at home. Now, “generally speaking” it is impossible for them to do that and have careers outside the home. Yes, children are a gift and blessing from God, but in the feminist eyes, they are mostly a hindrance.

Oh and God said that sex outside of marriage was a sin and men have always wanted to have sex with whomever and whenever they like. I brought up this because I am sometimes referred to as a misogynist. Without the support of carnal men, abortion would go nowhere.
