AOC Gets Philosophical at SXSW: Like, You Know, Like, Whatever, You Know?
New Yorkâs freshman congressman, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has, like, a lot to say, lol.
Over the course of a wide-ranging 80-minute interview at South by Southwest on Saturday, the 29-year-old left-wing lightning rod let loose a litany of âlikes,â âyou knows,â and âwhatevers.â
In between calling America âgarbage,â capitalism âirredeemable,â and President Reagan racist, AOC said âlikeâ no fewer than 71 times, âYou knowâ at least 34 times, and âwhateverâ five times.
She also said âummmâ too many times for us to count. The popular progressive personality also has a penchant for peppering her prose with, âI thinkâ and âI guess.â...
I just heard that AOC's approval numbers have dropped dramatically, and she's furious, blaming Fox News. How dare they be fair, balanced, and, truthful, instead of just following along with her nonsense, like mindless drones.
New Jersey just appointed an exploratory panel to see if it's possible for the state to provide every resident with an income. Socialism really is becoming a serious agenda. How many liberals are running in 2020 now, and even more who are in exploratory status? What a circus the next election is gonna be. They're going to have to do negative campaigning against each other, so hopefully, it'll damage the view of their party even more, because they've all gone mad.

Because you and the sources you quote are leftist in your thinking, you believe that Snopes is politically unbiased which is not true, Snopes is most assuredly left leaning in its politics.
Trump was never considered a "racist" until he entered the political arena. You ignore the good information that Christopher posted and quote Media Matters a group who wouldn't begin to know how to post anything truthful.

The conservative movement has been infected with scams and hucksters for years. Some of the most fertile ground for grifters has been right-wing email lists, which contain messages with warnings to conservatives about purported threats to their health, safety, and financial security. In prior years, missives about the supposed damage that then-President Barack Obama would inflict on the nation were commonplace.
With Obama out of office, many right-wing grifters are now using Ocasio-Cortez and her policy proposals -- especially the Green New Deal -- as a scary specter of the future. Those grifters include a disgraced financial firm advertising with an anti-Semitic publication, the National Rifle Association, Jack Abramoff, and James OâKeefe. Hereâs a look at some of their pitches....

I was at work and overheard one of my co-workers complaining that the police pulled him because of his skin color. Then when he was asked why he was pulled over, he stated (think about this one) the policeman said his window tint was too dark.
btw, Jim's quote came from a contributor to ultra liberal Vanity Fair.
"In her view, Trump, to a large extent, has defined this battle. âIâm gonna be very frank: I think that this president has set a racist tone. I think he has set a tone of such strong misogyny, racism, conspiracy theory-ism.â..."
"...I think this President has set a racist tone"
You have got to be kidding me. Seriously unbelievable. I seem to recall that it was during OBama's reign of terror when the racial divide was split wide open, and the blind hatred spilled out. I remember criminal thugs becoming martyrs. I remember public hits being put out on white cops. I remember the Black Panthers being at polling locations, and threatening anyone who didn't vote for OBama. I remember Farrakhan, Jackson, Sharpton, and the hate rappers, spewing their kill whitey, white man hatred, and inciting racial violence. I remember every African American being pulled over for a traffic infraction claiming they were being profiled by bigoted cops who want to murder them. I remember the outrageous, and violent riots whenever a cop defended themselves against a black man who had a gun, or advanced them weilding a knife, etc. During all of this, I remember one other thing...I remember OBama saying nothing. Nothing at all.

But Ocasio-Cortez is under no illusion that the right wingâs obsession will abate. âThe whole goal is to dehumanize,â she said.

Many Christians look at the restrictions placed on women as being solely due to their abilities. Now, there are inherent weaknesses in women as well as in men, so this is not meant to deny that. But, here is the reason Pandoraâs Box has been opened and we are now faced with a flood of evangelical and secular feminism. When we evaluate a woman based solely on her skills, then what happens when a female doesnât have those weaknesses? What happens is it suddenly becomes an issue of skill equality when it should be solely a matter of gender?
God didnât just create âsomeâ women to be helpers and âsomeâ men to be leaders.
And before someone implies this, I am not saying that Islam has a better view of this than Christianity because Islam believes that women are inherently inferior as humans and of course Christianity understands that we are all equal, males and females.
This new congresswoman is simply the result of us trying to appease feminism instead of claiming war against it. IMO our heavenly Father created her not to be a political leader, but a wife and mother.
We reap what we sow!
I know many will object to this, or want to nitpick it, but my day is going to be rather busy, so I might not get a chance to reply. But, my email is available.
Letâs see. AOC and her Democratic colleagues want a tax rate not seen Reagan of 70%, which they admit is to used to confiscate more money. The Republicans without a single Democratic vote in support cut peopleâs tax rate and gave them more of their own money back in their pockets
But Jim calls the Republicans greedy and not one mention of what would have to be the much greedier Democrats
Well put, SC. Not everyone has had our advantages. It is not the color of her skin nor the color of her speech but the color of her heart and what proceeds from it that concerns. May the Lord give this woman a new heart of flesh for the stone one.
If she were a football player or weather girl it is most likely she wouldnât be doing her country harm. AOC is not just an ill spoken young woman, she is an influential congresswoman who is the de facto leader of the progressive caucus of the democratic led congress. Trying to be humorous is my attempt to be the canary whistling in a coal mine . Besides, Iâve had my own experience with millennials and have found they are more concerned of what they get that what they give. Wheather sheâs of faith or not AOC is a performance artist using the political stage her canvas.
I would take greater issue with Christians who reduce themselves to calling lost people names based on their poor speech. Considering how this country has killed the English language, it is only appropriate. Maybe if she was a weather girl or football player, she could be elevated to a more favorable view in many Christians' eyes.
Dude sheâs like a mental midget, oh my bad, like a intellectually challenged politician ( Little person), who is like a little girl. Reminds me of the brat pack Saint Elmoâs Fire cast has like a bunch of kids who went to college and got degree in #whatever , then went to Congress like Ella from legally blonde. Bend and snap girls.
