Heaven has a wall: Grocery store ad mailer stirs controversy
A family-owned Christian grocery store with several locations in Southeast Arkansas is dealing with backlash as customers argue a weekly ad mailer included a controversial political message.
The ad book was sent to four Macâs Cashsaver stores in Arkansas. According to the store, the mailer typically includes a religious or political message. The current mailer includes a message that references the U.S./Mexico border wall controversy. It reads, âHeaven has a wall, a gate and a strict immigration policy. Hell has open borders. Let that sink in.â
Those words arenât sitting well with some customers.
âIt just doesnât make any sense," said Tyler Reede, who say the mailer while shopping at one of Camden stores. âWhy would they put that on there?"...
Politics has been described as the art of compromise, so hereâs the deal, Jim: Letâs skip building a wall and let illegal aliens come across our southern border at will But letâs restrict them allâall 30 million or more of themâto a single sanctuary city. I propose that Lincoln, Nebraska be that city. Let the criminal invaders have all the jobs, all the housing, all the medical care, all of the classrooms, and every other available benefit Lincoln has to offerâand let doltish liberals such as yourself become dump pickers. If that isnât a fair and reasonable solution, I donât know what is. Build the wall around Lincolnâand shoot everyone who tries to escape.
I agree that immigration is a problem but donât portray Mexicans as a threat when just today there was a workplace in Illinois. This I am sure was not a illegal immigrant. So my thought is yes protect us from illegals and legal Americans. I recall the Jewish shooting was a white male. The recent mail bomber white too. Have a Real good day.

Jim Lincoln wrote: ...Trump's wall will be more like a Maginot Line.
Since the Maginot line was bypassed, not penetrated (as the author said), it only serves to show that defenses mustn't have gaps. Uh, yeah. That's not a reason not to build one.
But the best way to stop immigration (legal or not) is to make this country unlivable, Venezuela style, with idiotic, childish Democrat socialist policies.
Trump is not God, contrary to some people's opinion who support him. God can make a wall, but Trump's wall will be more like a Maginot Line.
Valley Press wrote: The Wall Street Journal is often more supportive of Donald Trump than most publications, but on Friday their editorial board was sharply critical of his lack of knowledge about history. Here are some quotes:...
...The message to Trump is that even if he builds a high concrete barrier north of the entire Mexico border, someone will be able to dynamite several holes and destroy the whole purpose of the wall.
The Maginot Line has become a metaphor for expensive efforts that offer a false sense of security....
Tim 1:15 Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.
Titus 3:5 He saved us not by works of righteousness which we had done, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration, & by the renewing of the Holy Ghost,
Among the surprises that await us in heaven will be three astonishing ones that John Newton pointed. As he foresaw what every sinner will feel who has been redeemed by Christâs atoning sacrifice. He wrote, âIf I ever reach heaven, I expect to find three wonders there: First, to meet some I had nât thought to see there; second, to miss some I had thought to meet there; & third, the greatest wonder of all, to find myself there!â & that greatest wonder will cause John Newton & all of Godâs children to fall on their knees in gratitude for Godâs amazing grace. But letâs not wait. Now is the time to begin expressing our gratitude.
