New Mexico House passes ‘most extreme’ pro-abortion bill in America
On Wednesday the New Mexico House of Representatives joined a wave of states passing measures meant to insulate abortion-on-demand from future Supreme Court rulings, with a bill critics are calling the most radical of its kind to date.

By a 40-29 vote, the Democrat-controlled House passed House Bill 51 which would repeal multiple unenforced, pre-Roe sections of the law that criminalized abortion, the Albuquerque Journal reports. Six Democrats crossed the aisle to vote against it; every Republican voted against it except state Rep. Paul Bandy, who was absent.

“It simply removes an antiquated law that criminalizes health care,” Democrat state Rep. Joanne Ferrary, a cosponsor of the bill, claimed. But New Mexico Alliance for Life argues it would not only effectively permit abortions up until birth and eliminate restrictions such as parental involvement, it would also erase “the only explicit ...

Why don’t you “borrow” a bar of soap and some disposable razors for a change? People can smell you all the way to Maine, and your face looks like an old Brillo pad with mange.

Now, that was just plain rude! I don't steal...I borrow. Just like all of the food that I stuff into the pockets of my trench coat while strolling through the grocery store isles...I'm borrowing it. I'm no theif.

The Bible over & over repeatedly tells us n’t to be deceived or to be fools!

Ronald Reagan — 'I've noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born.'

Pro 8:35-36 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain the favor of the Lord. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul; all they that hate me love death.”

I wanted to let y'all know, I do live in New Mexico and everyone I know called the governor's office multiple times to say we were against this bill not me or anyone else I knew could get a hold of anyone for several days. I am appalled by this bill and those in government. We need to really become a praying people, we need to be fighting the spiritual battle on our knees, not in our flesh.

Frank, I think I've always made a plain or at least I will now, that universal healthcare is more important than the abortion issue.
(A tribal issue?)
But what I never have made clear apparently is that the fate of the country--a secular issue certainly and maybe even a religious one--is much more important than both I certainly won't support any candidate who I think is dangerous to the country

Of course the if a leader doesn't have a minimum amount of personal morality, I'm not going to support him no matter what his position is on abortion or universal healthcare❗

Frank, I didn't see where I gave my blessing to the New York state's abortion law. I didn't ❗
No, but you give your blessing to the politicians who promote and support those kinds of laws. If you promote and support them, then you are just as guilty as they are. Surely even you can see that.

An astute answer especially considering what some of the states have done with their abortion laws ❗

Michael Stratford wrote:
President Donald Trump wouldn’t be the first Republican to pay lip service to states’ rights as a presidential candidate and then to govern quite differently, but the disconnect is especially jarring because he has been so vocal about the issue. Trump declared in his inaugural address that “we are not merely transferring power from one administration to another, or from one party to another, but we are transferring power from Washington, D.C., and giving it back to you, the American people.”

He made an even more direct commitment when he first met the nation’s governors, pledging to “make states the laboratories of democracy once again.”...

Reformed Protestant from Missouri says...
For the first time I am ashamed to be a New Mexican! I wish my home state would have taken a stand against the tide"...

Just "identify" as a Mississippian...

Most of the nation looks at us as backwoods, ignorant mountain kin, but we certainly aren't killing are our kiddos like the rest of them.

There is only one abortion mill open here. And it is surrounded by protesters every day...

There must be something in being "behind" the rest of the nation is wealth, population, and prestige. It seems the people here have a much greater, general understanding, of right and wrong. Not being a native of Mississippi, I can look around with a sort of outside look, and it is very encouraging to know that there are still some states that hold to God's word better than most...

At least we don't live in stolen shopping carts and pretend we are typing on a computer with a piece of cardboard...😅

Good morning, Jim...were you being tongue in cheek-ish with these comments, or as a matter of personal concern over the potential risk of an overturn?
I noticed one of the signs being held by the pro-choicers: "Don't criminalize abortion!"
Translation: Don't you dare try to take away our right as women to murder our own babys, for any reason,'s our body, our kid...our mistake, and our decision to have the thing eaten alive with a saline solution, ripped apart, limb by limb, or the little things spinal column snipped, should the disgusting little blob of nothing, fighting for its life, survive the, no big deal, procedures.
Well said Chris! I remember Rick Warren asked Obama when life began and Obama said that was above his pay grade. And yet, he was the most pro-infanticide president in history. "He didn't know" and yet he murdered anyway.

Same hypocrisy as Jim exhibits.

Dear Jim, I would like to ask you two questions. First, why is it that these same people, who insist on universal healthcare, deny this very thing to the baby still in the mother's womb? Second, if LIFE does not begin at conception, well, when does it begin?

“HB-51 is the most extreme bill in the nation because it keeps elective abortion-up-to-birth, and also seeks to force medical professionals to participate in this practice by stripping away explicit conscience protections from the current statute".

“Doctors in New Mexico don’t want to be forced to do this … to do something that sickens them”

No matter what it meant for me, if I was a delivery room doctor, nurse, or even the anesthesiologist, etc., there's just no way I could continue on in my profession if the State's law was now forcing me to start murdering infants on demand. No stinking way...

My worry is the these states are establishing law as a precursor of mandatory federal law in the hope of an demoncratic election of both senate and executive branch of the government.
This infantcide law needs to be met by the calling upon God for impregatory prayer on the government that enacted the law.m
God is a just and violent God, may his justice by served on New Mexico, New York, Massachusetts and all who bow to Satan.

If the members of the community close their eyes when that man sacrifices one of his children to Molek and if they fail to put him to death,I myself will set my face against him and his family and will cut them off from their people together with all who follow him in prostituting themselves to Molek. - Leviticus 20:1-2,4-5
