Violent Video Games Linked To Increased Physical, Aggressive Behavior In Children
Do video games make children more prone to violence? An analysis of numerous studies by researchers at Dartmouth University found that children who play violent video games show an increased tendency toward physical, aggressive behavior.

Previous research has shown that children who play violent video games are more likely to exhibit physical aggression, but a vocal minority disputes these findings. Researchers conducted a thorough meta-analysis of 24 studies from locations around the world from 2010 to 2017, with more than 17,000 participants ages nine to 19 years old.

All of the studies analyzed by the researchers dealt with how violent video game play created changes in real-world physical aggression over various periods of time, in this case ranging from three months to four years. Examples of physical aggression included incidents of physical violence and getting in trouble for fighting in ...

This is such an old subject that I think it has become Urban Legend. I think some people in Hollywood decided to make newer cartoons that had less violence, but Japan and other countries responded with their own, and we still have turtles doing violent thing.
At least you can say, the baby shark song has no violence, though sharks may exhibit some when it comes time to eat.
Ok then, the story makes no reference to cartoons and there doesn't seem to be an epidemic of people setting up dangerous traps for road runners that cause them to be hurled over a cliff to land thousands of feet below and then get up and walk away unscathed or fighting off kangaroos thinking they are actually gigantic mice. Although Tim's wife has been known to utter the phrase, "What's up doc?"

Is technological 'progress(?)' working for Satan?

1John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil."

The article says nothing about Christians and violent video games and has no mention of any sports.

I will take it that Douglas Fir post was tongue in cheek, but it is possible that Dr. Tim has been trying to start an Acme company to produce pinto bean launchers to shoot at Christopher.

Good points, 'sc'
Cartoons have a lot of violence.
I remember warnings about the level of violence in Bugs Bunny, Roadrunner, Tom & Jerry, etc. They said they would cause children to imitate their stunts (esp. the coyote vs. roadrunner). I think you can still see them doing it on a program like America's Funniest Videos.
And why anyone watches sports is a good question. Preacher Chuck Swindoll said football is a game played by 40 men in desperate need of rest being watched by 40,000 people in desperate need of exercise! Why grown men are paid millions of dollars to play something that children play is the strangest aspect of modern life, and it is not limited to the good ol' US of A. Many soccer players worldwide are paid even higher sums than the NFL or NBA.
Some sports really boggle your mind, like the one they call 'curling' (not in a beauty shop), watching a heavy disk slide across the ice. Is that stupid or what? Almost as dumb as ice fishing. I've seen huts like mobile homes they set up over a hole in the ice, complete with TV. What's the sport in that?

Ephesians 5:11

“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

Psalms 11:5 - The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

Why do Christians watch violent sports again? Violence isn't just limited to video games.
