Trump calls meeting with Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi a 'total waste of time'

President Donald Trump on Wednesday stormed out of a meeting with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer over an ongoing partial government shutdown, calling it "a total waste of time."

The breakdown in already fraught negotiations over border wall funding, which have kept nine federal agencies shut down for 19 days and counting, appeared to heighten the possibility that Trump might declare a national emergency.

"I asked what is going to happen in 30 days if I quickly open things up, are you going to approve Border Security which includes a Wall or Steel Barrier? Nancy said, NO," Trump explained in a tweet as Pelosi and Schumer described the walk-out to reporters. ...

Ok we lock our cars, our homes, our business’s but let 500,000 walk into our country without a hey, um, wait, hold up, Then I must be a bigot. The demoncrats want so many voters that the more they let in the better for them. I have had misgivings about every president since 1960, except Eisenhower . But not about being safe , and ain’t been that since operation “ wetback” no offense it was a code name.

Sc, you are so right in that its the people the country as a whole that’s causing all the rampant sins as the Israel people did in the days of the reign of Ahab and his wife Jezabel. Judgement was brought on the nation through the capture and bondage by the Babylonians. The sin that finally brought Judgement was when they sacrificed their children at the altar of Baal. God heard the cries of the Children even if they did not. Abortion was legalized when America began dramatically turning away from God and it’s biblical foundations, in the mid-and late twentieth century, that it also embraced the killing of its unborn children. And we know the rest of the story and it ain’t pretty. Blessings sc and Christopher, thanks for sharing your thoughts as well.

King's alleged ties to white nationalist groups have caused politicians and groups on both sides of the aisle to disavow King. The 4th District representative was rebuked by Iowa Jewish leaders, disavowed by Rep. King's fellow House Republicans denounced King's comments to the Times on Thursday.

Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney said King's remarks were "abhorrent and racist." Rep. Justin Amash of Michigan tweeted: "This is an embrace of racism, and it has no place in Congress or anywhere."

This gentleman has had similar ideas to President Trump, even before Trump was President as he pointed out. It should be noted that some of his fellow Republicans have repudiated his stances. I repudiate them also-- taking a moral stance.

Jim, you have posted a lot of crazy stuff, but you’re really putting the old Bozo-meter in the red zone with this one. I guarantee you’ll never find a word of scripture to support this view. If your noggin was a motel, it would have a big neon “Vacancy” sign flashing over it.

As you might gather from the title of the article there was a lot more said and that then what I quoted from ❗

Of course Connor7 Democrats don't want to build a wall! They will go for some sort of security measures, if they can get the dreamers off the hook. However, that is about it. There are more effective means than the great Wall of Trump of controlling illegal immigration. 👍

God cares little about a morality of a country considering it isn't the most important thing!

I didn't go back to read Dolores comment, so don't know what you were replying to, but so true...I firmly believe that even if conservatives controlled the house and Senate, forevermore, babys would still be murdered, sodomites would still have their rights, and be a plague on society, and general immorality would be condoned. Morality is subjective to many,so what one is against, another, even being a so-called, conservative, would be good to go on. Just take a look within the church itself...so-called conservative Pastors are preaching that sodomy is no big deal, and not a salvation issue, as one example, so a house full of Republicans would be a mixed bunch of ideologies on whats right, and what's wrong, and would be more comprimise; a meeting in the middle, more than anything else.

I am sort of glad neither side will back down...

We are saving 5 billion (5,000,000,000) every DAY...

That means we will save 1.8 trillion each year. That sounds like a good idea to go with...

And the thing is, non necessary things have to get funding approved every few months. Meanwhile, the necessary things like army, post office, etc always have funding.

Sounds good to me...

The Dems are wanting control of our country and the people that vote them in want freedom from God and His commandments and His way. We are now in a culture war that actually began during the Bill Clinton time in office. Never in our history has there been such open sinful behavior and actual approval coming from our government Commandments of God taken down in government places. Schools without prayer or Bible reading, filth in movies, killing of babies in the womb, persecution of Christians that stand for their beliefs and are run out of their businesses because of it. Our world is in a dark place and the stage is being set for the Anti Christ to appear. Keep those lamps full of oil, trimmed and burning Christian for the,Good Man of the House is coming Back.

The above should be obvious to everyone, by now.

It seems to me the wall would be on the wrong border. A lot more terrorists try to enter from the Canadian side than from the Mexican side

The last thing Schumer and Pelosi want to do is give Trump his legacy as their first act of the new congress.

I suspect this will get worse before it gets better.
