Democratic National Committee Chair Tom Perez warned Wednesday that Democrats need to come up with a “broader communications strategy” in order to reach Christian voters who “buy” what they are being told in church on Sundays.
Speaking at The Court in Crisis Summit in Washington, D.C. hosted by Demand Justice, a nonprofit that supports liberal judicial nominees, Perez offered his thoughts on why the Democratic Party is having trouble “penetrating” center-right voters with their message.
“We all have to make sure that we’re fluent in what’s happening across our ecosystem so we can come to each other’s defense because we need to build a bigger orchestra,” Perez said. “[The political right has] had a big orchestra for some time and they’ve got the megaphones to amplify it, whether it’s Sinclair at the local level or Fox at the national level.”...
Anybody who states that the Republican Party is the party of Jesus is sick, demented, wicked, blasphemous, retarded, vile & disgusting, unintelligent and HAS received himself a blot in the Book of Life.

The Republican Party is the party of Jesus since the policies of the Republican Party are in line with the teachings of Jesus. Anybody who states that the Republican Party is not the party of Jesus is sick and demented.

At the end of the day Jim, if one doesn’t bare witness to the facts of reflecting & showing the imputed righteousness of Christ being the only saving merit one can have. Only the Blood of Christ is sufficient alone, in being greater than the stains of ones rebellion against Christ.
It doesn’t matter how many friends one has, if Christ is ones greatest foe in their life. As one truly has nothing if they aren’t born again from up above alone.
For all other soil is sinking sand apart from, no King but Christ Alone amen.
May God have saving regenerating mercies on your soul Jim, for tomorrow isn’t owed or guaranteed too know one ever amen!
David Brooks wrote: ...to me, the including thing — the crucial thing over the next year — or a crucial thing — is how the base Republicans react if there are indictments, if there is a political catastrophe, if people start leaving the White House in droves.
The Republican base is still very pro-Trump. On the talk radio circuit, they're getting rid of anyone like Mike Medved, who is a radio — right-wing conservative radio jockey who is not pro-Trump. They're replacing him with pro-Trump.
"The Weekly Standard," a magazine I used to work at, it may be closed because it's not sufficiently pro-Trump.
So what you see is the Republican base going so pro-Trump, at the exact moment when it's possible the wheels are coming off the whole thing....

Mr. Perez should have read an article in the Christian Post, which would been more helpful to him than his speculations.

Of blessedness. If you are Christ's, let me advise you to do four things. You belong to Jesus--obey Him; let His word be your law; let His wish be your will. You belong to the Beloved; then love Him; let your heart embrace Him; let your whole soul be filled with Him. You belong to the Son of God; then trust him; rest on nothing or no one but on Him. You belong to the King of kings; then be decided for Him. Thus even without being marked with a sign everyone will know to whom you belong.
Gal 1:1 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead) 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ."
Alistair Begg- In the life of faith, neutrality isn’t an option. We are either ranked under the banner of the Lord Jesus, to serve & fight His battles, or we are slaves of the dark prince, Satan. “To whom do you belong?”
Reader, let me assist you in your response. Have you been "born again"? If you have, you belong to Christ; but without the new birth you can’t be His. In whom do you trust? For those who believe in Jesus are the sons of God. Whose work are you doing? You are sure to serve your master, for he whom you serve is thereby owned to be your lord. What company do you keep? If you belong to Jesus, you will keep company with those who wear the uniform of the cross. "Birds of a feather flock together." What is your conversation? Is it heavenly or is it earthly? What have you learned from your Master? For servants learn a great deal from the masters to whom they are apprenticed. If you have served your time with Jesus, it will be said of you, as it was of Peter and John, "they recognized that they had been with Jesus."2
We press the question, "To whom do you belong? Answer honestly before you fall asleep for the night. If you aren’t Christ's,you are in a hard service--run away from your cruel master! Enter into the service of the Lord of Love, & you will enjoy a life
How hypocritical this is because if my memory serves me correctly wasn't that Georgia peanut farmer who won the 76 election was he not a Southern Baptist Democrat from Plains, GA. Just more lftist fruitcake rhetoric
If our heart is with Christ and we belong to Him then we don’t need or have time for political talks in the pulpit. We have a guide and He will lead us to do the right thing. I follow no man only Christ and Him alone.
"We have got to talk about other reforms that are going to enable us to elect Democrats up and down the ticket so that we can actually have the capacity to implement.”
Personally, I have never heard a pastor speak politics from the pulpit in the church I attend or those I have visited. I would wonder what "other reforms" might be enacted if this inaccurate perception is popularized. Would reforms ever include enforcing limits on Biblical teachings from the pulpit?
Interesting. The DNC thinks we have nothing better to hear about at Sunday worship than politics. What my family and I heard yesterday was Christ's Advent, Him crucified, and that He is coming again. But that is the basis of Christian thought, and underpins whatever we think about every topic.
The DNC would do well to study this message and adopt it themselves.
