Voters are already streaming to polls in record numbers
oters across the country have been crowding into polling places and mailing in ballots in numbers rarely seen in an off-year election.

In some states, more people are on track to cast ballots in early voting than in the entire election in 2014. In Texas, one such state, hundreds of thousands of new voters have already participated. Democrats hope that surge indicates that their Senate candidate, Beto O’Rourke, may be succeeding in mobilizing a crucial demographic.

But Republicans are also energized, turning out in larger numbers than Democrats so far in Florida, for example, where a cliffhanger race for governor features a Donald Trump acolyte competing against a progressive who would be the state’s first African-American governor. ...

Jim, I thought you are always posting those links, with the title "Cast your vote against the GOP" in them?

Wouldn't that be a contraction now??

You are such a big hypocrite, even bigger than Bush and Trump.

Jim, are “White Islamists” different from black ones? You don’t just play the race card. You bring out the 48-card Bigot Pinochle deck. As my hero Sylvester would say, you are “dethpicable.”

Jim do you not see the contradiction in your own post?If political change is futile then why vote?

Not sure if you are quoting McArthur out of context but using the framework from his quote we do several temporal things while here on this earth including involving ourselves in how we are governed. It is a violation of the admonition to do good to all men especially those of the household of faith to vote for a Democratic leftist socialist agenda

Don’t get your hopes up for the Democrats to control either side of Congress after the election. Look for them to blame the Caravan, Kavanaugh, collusion, anything but themselves and their message and agenda.

Too many evangelicals are acting like White Islamists
John MacArthur wrote:
Also, many present-day Christian activists seem to be unaware of how much their methodology parallels that of liberal Christians at the turn of the twentieth century. Like those misguided idealists, contemporary evangelicals became enamored of temporal issues at the expense of eternal values. Evangelical activists, in essence, are simply preaching a politically conservative version of the old social gospel, emphasizing social and cultural concerns above spiritual ones. In that framework the government becomes more and more the earthly ally (if he can persuade it to support his special agenda) or enemy (if it stays opposed or unresponsive to his agenda) of the Christian....

Romans 8:7 For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. 8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.---ESV

The above certainly applies to politicians of both parties. I certainly plan to vote, Chris GP!
