More than 20 Christians were arrested on October 20 as they were evangelizing on the streets. During the ordeal, the members of the Church were not discouraged but continued to evangelize and share the love of Christ.
The team of evangelists were organized by the Early Rain Covenant Church in Chengu. The as the Christians evangelized on the streets, they took turns sharing their faith and praying. A worship service was held in a local park as well. As the event took place police arrived and took more than 20 of the church members into custody.
Those who were not arrested continued to boldly proclaim the Gospel in the streets, while others gathered outside the police stations as they waited for news of their detained brothers and sisters in Christ....
