She raised concerns that non-Christians could feel alienated from the Church if its public pronouncements used solely male language to describe God....
Gify...maybe I'm missing it, but where was the question, exactly? Interesting how you pose as a born again Christian, but the truth is revealed when you see red over some imagined slight by silence that you take as an offense. People such as yourself are a curiosity because you speak softly, and even quote scripture while doing it, but you can never hide for too long before you expose yourself, like you just did.
Why don't you tell us a bit about yourself and give us your testimony if you want. I'd be real interested why you, as a born again Christian, I'm assuming, would think it's okay to make such a vulgar comment in the company of other Christians...

Tim, what I was indicating was the she is part of God’s creation, and her Father in that respect, Her spiritual Father no. No born again person would ever question God’s sexuality.

The fact that this "female" bishop has been elevated to this station in the Church of England helps to prove that the Anglicans are not Christians. They are blind to the Bible.

When God brought Jesus into the world to be our savior, He used a virgin(not a man) to bring forth the one who was to bring salvation to a dark world without hope. The baby, a boy (not a girl) was born, through this young woman in a stable and placed in a manger.Not in a castle to an earthly kingdom but the kingdom of God, to reign forever on the Throne of David foretold by prophets of old. God, my Father, said it in His Word and I believe it!!
I actually understand that if this lady cares to go just outside the bounds of her own cathedral, that she will see a memorial erected reminding her of bishop Hooper and what he did.
Unfortunately, when I last visited Gloucester some years ago, though I went in the cathedral, I actually missed seeing this memorial. I have seen a photo of it since.
God is her Father? Maybe--and maybe not. I get it that you are indicating that He is not her mother, Alan, but unless she has been born again, which seems unlikely, she has no spiritual father but Satan.
And she should be “mindful of her language” her standing with God, and her (or should I say IT’s) unbiblical position. Let us pray for her. Yes she is a her. And God is her Father!!!
We must not forget that this woman, who is in a forbidden position not open to women, has a very illustrious predecessor as bishop of Gloucester who would have been absolutely horrified by all this, and would have denounced her very strongly.
John Hooper was the bishop of Gloucester in the reign of the Protestant boy king Edward VI, and was one of the famous Reformation era Protestant Anglican bishops, along with Archbishop Cranmer, and Bishops Ridley, Latimer and Ferrar.
He was rigorous in inspecting the parishes, requiring the gospel to be preached, the Scriptures read in English and applied, and that Catholic practices be stopped, and all clergy under him had to behave in a biblical fashion and worship was to be Christ centred and Bible centred.
When the fanatical Catholic Queen Mary I ascended to the throne in 1553, bishop Hooper, along with the above mentioned bishops, several evangelical Protestant clergy, and a large number of ordinary lay persons, was arrested, tried for “heresy”, deprived of his office, and in Bishop Hooper’s case, he was actually burned at the stake outside his own cathedral.
I wonder if this woman has any idea of her predecessor’s life and witness, and his stand for Biblical principles and the preaching of the Gospel. I guess not.
The language that should be minded is the way that the Lord described Himself in His holy and inspired word. Folks like this woman simply don't believe the Bible to be true, which brings into question exactly Who she thinks she is worshipping. Diane of the Ephesians, perhaps? Some other idol?
I have never found truth to be a turn off to those seeking after the Author thereof. But it is a stench in the nostrils of those who are not being drawn to the Lord.
