Washington Post: Trump responsible for hurricanes

As President Trump warns residents of the Carolinas that Hurricane Florence will be “tremendously big and tremendously wet,” the Washington Post is asserting the commander-in-chief is “complicit” in the storm.

Trump, the Post editorial said Tuesday night as the massive Category 4 hurricane approached, “plays down humans’ role in increasing the risks, and he continues to dismantle efforts to address those risks.”

The Trump administration, the paper said, “has now attacked all three pillars of President Barack Obama’s climate-change plan.” ...

How many Democrats does it take to change a lightbulb? A hundred--one to screw in a new bulb, and 99 to blame Trump for the old one burning out.

I have no idea what happened below. One paragraph was to Frank in another thread, and the first two paragraphs for Dr Tim I had deleted without finishing, the two combined, and showed up in the wrong thread...very strange.

Yeah, well, I do my best to make anything I say sound simple simon, and understandable to the common folk, but even when I try to dumb things down, I still tend to sound way too intelligent and technical.

Back alley numbers? Far, far lower, and I would guess that there was much less promiscuity, knowing what they would be faced with as the result of their "moments of weakness", or whatever. I could be wrong, but the ramifications just had to be a major thought, considering the options.

I've been doing a lot of clowning around lately, and probably a bit too much, so I hope you all know that I'm just messin' around with you. I always forget the little smileys and know my humor can be a bit dry, and be taken as serious by anyone who might not know any better.

Just making sure that nothing's been misunderstood as being remotely serious, especially by Rodney, and Plain decrepid hick.

Over and out...

It's impossible to drive two miles in any direction where I live without seeing a dead armadillo in the road. I don't know why the state doesn't just add them to the paving material to start with. In my book, armadillos are nothing but kamikaze possums.

Trump is not responsible for the hurricanes, but he also seems to be free of responsibility for cleaning up after them them, and he does want to take responsibility for that.

Never give an inch’: Trump keeps touting perceived failures as successes
An estimated 3,000 people died after the devastating Hurricane Maria ravaged Puerto Rico last year. Large swaths of the island were without power for months. FEMA was short thousands of workers and underestimated how much food and supplies were needed in the recovery, according to a federal government report.

But in the eyes of President Trump, the government’s response was a raging success — and one he touted this week as a monstrous hurricane pinwheeled toward the Carolinas....

Trump is responsible for quite a few bad thing but hurricanes are not on that particular list anyway.

Adm. William McRaven (retired and resigned ❗ ) wrote:
Like most Americans, I had hoped that when you became president, you would rise to the occasion and become the leader this great nation needs.

A good leader tries to embody the best qualities of his or her organization. A good leader sets the example for others to follow. A good leader always puts the welfare of others before himself or herself.

Your leadership, however, has shown little of these qualities. Through your actions, you have embarrassed us in the eyes of our children, humiliated us on the world stage and, worst of all, divided us as a nation.

If you think for a moment that your McCarthy-era tactics will suppress the voices of criticism, you are sadly mistaken. The criticism will continue until you become the leader we prayed you would be.

Amen

I assume Trump Administration will do a better job and handling this hurricane situation since it's happening in the heart of Trump country.

No one can undo God’s creation. We can pollute a river or a city, but to say that mankind has the power to play God and destroy His creation is heresy.

God Himself will destroy earth in due time.

Jeremiah 5:22 Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand [for] the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

Genesis 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Psalms 93:1 The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, [wherewith] he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved. 2 Thy throne [is] established of old: thou [art] from everlasting.

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Dr Tim Wrote:
"Christopher keeps talking about a missing chromosome. Is that the shiny strip of metal from the side of a 1958 Edsel? If so, I put it on my goat cart. Finders keepers, you know."

Well, the science of it is a bit technical, so I've been brainstorming on how to answer you without overwhelming the little guy who lives in your Homer Simpson sized cranium to protect the single brain cell that keeps trying to commit suicide.

Hmmm...what is a missing chromosome? Let me put it this way...if you can find something shiny that you lifted from a normal person's trash barrel while creeping around one night, grab it, lift it up to your face, and look into it, but just don't look for longer than a quick glance...that's a missing chromosome.
