Arizona Pharmacist Harassed for Refusing to Fill Abortion Prescription

A pro-life Arizona pharmacist has become front-page news over his refusal on moral grounds to fill an abortifacient prescription for a woman whose doctor reportedly diagnosed her pregnancy as an imminent miscarriage.

The woman, Nicole Arteaga of Peoria, Arizona, a Phoenix suburb, took to Facebook June 22 to complain that after being told by her doctor that she would miscarry her baby, she went to a local Walgreens pharmacy to fill a prescription that would induce an abortion, only to be denied by the pro-life pharmacist on duty, identified as Brian Hreniuc, who told Arteaga that he was morally opposed to filling the prescription. ...

Thank you all for offering to pray.
This is going to be a high risk pregnancy and much prayer will be needed for her and baby.
Without going in to much detail on a public forum, it is serious and there has been three miscarriages previously...
So we continue to hope and pray.

The Lords Will be done.
Psalm 103.

A call to the doctor would probably have persuaded the pharmacist to give her the medicine. since there was no abortion being planned.

Cydney Henderson, Bree Burkitt wrote:
... Nicole Arteaga wanted nothing more than to be a mother again.

But doctors gave the 35-year-old mother heartbreaking news during her 10-week pregnancy checkup.

The baby's development had stopped. There was no heartbeat. The pregnancy would end with a miscarriage — a pain Arteaga has faced before.

Grieving, Arteaga went to her local Walgreens in Peoria on Thursday to pick up medication prescribed by a doctor to manage her health and the miscarriage by terminating the pregnancy.

UPDATE: Arizona board to investigate complaint over denial of miscarriage medication

Instead, Arteaga was turned away, without the medicine she needed.

A Walgreens pharmacist refused to fill the prescription, she said.

“I don't have control over my body and I don’t have control of the situation," Arteaga said. "I was seeking help for the medication I needed and he refused."

"I completely lost it and was in tears.”

"...there is not one example in the entire Bible of political or social "activism" ever being advocated or used by God's people. That fact must weigh heavily upon any consideration of this important topic. There are numerous cases of civil disobedience in Scripture, but it was never engaged in for the purpose of forcing an ungodly society to obey Biblical principles.....

"Christian activism" is not Christian, and represents a detour from the straight path churches are to walk before the world. It can confuse the real issues, lead to compromise and unholy alliances, and divert time and effort that would better be used in proclaiming the Gospel of repentance of sin unto salvation. Weigh the demands upon your time and set priorities. Be fully engaged in rescuing souls for eternity.

The difference is there are always plenty of threads to post up your never Trump liberal trash.

Btw, was wondering if you could tell us all about your policy to not criticize a sitting president again. Just for old times sake.

The Lord is the only one permitted to take an innocent life. So, if this lady was going to miscarriage, then she would miscarriage. So what she did was ask this pharmacist to assist her in murdering a life that was in fact a life at the time.

I could easily go into a Nursing Home and find someone whose death was near and certain. Now if this person was a burden in any way to his/her family, then why not simply pull the plug.

I simply don’t see the difference.

Well, Lurker, when did ever the topic of the news item ever stop anyone from straying off the topic and I would say in this case doing something discussing something related to it?

Actually both cases it was where someone was refused service by a commercial outfit that was supposed to supply a service. It seems that two people were harassed for not supplying a product.

One person was conservative and the other was liberal. Both were forcing their moral judgments on other people. So, I think they were connected. Trump was an added bonus since he was the boss of Sanders and the reason that she didn't get service.

A restaurant, pharmacy or whoever should be able to to decide who they serve or they don't base on there behavior (not unchangeables like race, color, gender, or economic status) In the good old State of Mississippi, all business owners are allowed to deny services to people who choose sinful lifestyles (LGBTQ people). Excellent law...
