Al Mohler Expresses Concern Over Gay Christian Revoice Conference
Albert Mohler Jr., president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, has expressed concern about an upcoming conference centered on LGBT Christians.

Called the Revoice Conference, the multiday event is scheduled for July 26–28 at Memorial Presbyterian Church in St. Louis, Missouri, with hundreds expected to attend.

In an episode of "The Briefing" podcast released Friday, Mohler said his "biggest concern" about the conference is the event's apparent acceptance of the idea that sexual identity "becomes a defining issue that isn't changed by the Gospel and isn't transformed by sanctification." ...

Cora, you are so right about racially divisive preachers. Noteworthy among them are Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Jeremiah Wright. These men do absolutely nothing but stir up racial strife. Cora, . . . “ divisive preachers … stir up … strife. And why not? That is, . . . their bread and butter, and they know it . . .”

DOCTOR Tim, you are spot on.

I cannot, for the life of me, understand why people can’t see this for what it is.

Portraits of men hanging, for centuries, in the HALLS of INJUSTICE, continue to be an offense to those denied recognition for their achievements. Even portraits of evil-doers are in these halls to laud over others with purposeful, and not so subtle messages.

Having fallible men, including fallible Christians, voting into position fallible men to establish fallible laws, boggles the mind. We preach Christ.

Why can’t they just enforce Galatians 5:22 & 23 which is embodied in Christ and the Gospel of Christ?

Or is this the Christian’s call?

It makes you wonder what other things are being preached by this man. It is a fact that 99 percent of the black vote is for Democrats. If you have early voting in your area, do they allow it on the Sunday before the Tuesday Election Day? In Florida it was done without Sunday voting, and black pastors complained that it was unfair, that 'their' people (almost like saying, my slaves)cannot vote on any other day because they are working 6 days a week. And thus, they made this Sunday the Big Day for blacks voting. I can well imagine the Democrat Party had something to do with this, including putting some 'spending money' in the pockets of these 'pastors.'
I think Early Voting is just a way for Democrats to win elections. Not every state has it, and some make it hard even to vote by absentee ballot. How does it work in yours?

"Gay Christian." Despite years of working with addicts and prisoners, I have yet to meet a self-described "Christian drunk." Don't know any Cutthroats for Jesus. I haven't encountered a movement for dope dealer inclusivity. No, we expect saved people to repent of every known sin--except the sin of Sodom. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. (Luke 21:28). Take heart, fellow believer. The fourth quarter is almost over.
Ditto, ditto, ditto.

No other group I know of has paraded their sin, blamed it on God, and demand space in the pulpit.

That said, we do have racially divisive pastors in many pulpits.
It is demonstrated by their social interactions.

Even so Lord Jesus, come quickly.

This article suggests mohler helped give birth to Revoice, whether intended or not. If so, it was past time for him to speak.

I stepped over a read the blue collar saint article about Moore and his sidekick Leatherwood. It’s an interesting read. I do believe that the reformed pseudo Calvinists louts who are going to take the SBC by storm will follow the line of what I was told at a visiting baptist church leader. Though unnamed, he said that no one joining a baptist church needed to be infringed upon their personal sexual preferences. Let the sheeps in , even if they wore a rainbow coat. It’s about paying for building funds, salaries and air conditioning, and don’t you forget that bub.

I think he was speaking from a "homosexual Christians" perspective. Murder is sin, rape is sin, lying and stealing are sin...whatever God says is sin, is sin, homosexuality excluded.
"Our Jesus isn't a bigot", "Our Jesus loves everyone", and "God made us this way", are the usual, homesexual Christian", mantras.

Let's see, we had color TV, but no remotes, just the knobs. We had the rotary phones, with private lines, but I do know what a party line is from watching the Brady Bunch, I think it was. Big hair was in. I remember a few of the games we had, Sorry, Operation, and Monopoly, among others. There were cigarette machines everywhere with the knob you'd pull and the pack would drop down...my mom used to send me and they were $0.65. Stone washed denim was in. When kids at school had a disagreement, they'd meet by the flagpole after school to fight it out instead of shooting each other up, and they'd shake hands after. Everyone had a record player and a boombox. Bicycles were basic one-speed, or ten speed with the ram handlebars. Hair was mostly long, parted down the middle, or feathered. Modes of transportation were car, bicycle, or skateboard. Curfews were practiced and kept. Discipline by spanking was in, legal, and seemed to work well.😊 Weekend fun was going to the movies or rollerskating at the local rink. I don't remember ever hearing of murders, rapes, any sort of a bigoted hate crime, or kids shooting up a school. I know they happened, obviously, but so few that none are even recalled. Life was simple, and so much less stressful, carefree, and relatively safe.

Thanks Chris for your thoughts, and I agree.
Life was much simpler when I was young. Our only communication was a rotary phone on the wall (party line) and for entertainment, a transistor radio..

Ah, the good old days...sigh.

Sounds like that would have been a good candidate for a Norman Rockwell painting.

The good old days really were the good old days. Familys were strong, times were more simple, the shelves had books and games, instead of tablets and PlayStations, modesty was in, you could leave the doors unlocked, people were neighborly, and values were strong, all relatively speaking. Today...hmmm. Goodbye, yesterday.

The case of Memorial will be a closely watched one the presbytery level and perhaps at General Assembly. It represents a bell weather case as to whether the PCA will remain true to the Bible or slide off with the others.

Memorial Presbyterian Church is a session & congregation under the Missouri Presbytery. While the presbytery's website does not have a specific news item about how it is dealing with this errant session, there is a paper from October 2017 posted reaffirming the presbytery's stance to a Biblical view of marriage (1 man & 1 woman) and otherwise celibacy. This is a concluding summary statement:

What of Those Same-Sex-Attracted Men and Women in Our Midst Who Reject This
Teaching and Live Out Their Attractions?

Our conclusion now remains what it was in 1994, being adopted back then by our Presbytery: that homosexual sexual expression cannot be accommodated in the church of Jesus Christ if she is to remain faithful to her Master and to the God-given identity of her people; and that in fact, those who claim to be Christ-followers in our churches and yet are participating in homosexual acts or intentionally cultivating erotic homosexual attachments, need the church to exercise a humble, careful, and grace-laced discipline of them for the safety of their endangered souls, the honor of Jesus Christ, and the faithfulness of the church as the bride of Christ. We say this with sadness but without embarrassment, because while such discipline is hard, it is represented in Scripture as a
