Google rejects Christian publisher over 'faith we express'

Concordia Publishing House has been in business since 1869 as the official publishing arm of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod denomination.

But apparently the Christian content of its website, particularly an ad for an upcoming Vacation Bible School, is too much for Google AdWords, the online advertising service.

Google, said Concordia CEO Bruce Kintz in a Facebook post Monday, will no longer do business “because of the faith we express on our website,” the Federalist reported.

Kintz said one of his associates was told by Google AdWords, as an example, that the “Bible challenge” on the publishers Vacation Bible School Web page “would clearly need to come down before they could consider us for ads.” ...

The article in the link is very interesting

"Trump’s horrifying statements, heard in his own proud voice, revealed an objectification of women and a sexual predation that must make continued support for Trump impossible for any evangelical leader...." Mohler

--http://tinyurl.com/ybda46pu (Donald Trump has created an excruciating moment for evangelicals)

I know a few people who became even more convinced that Christianity is a religion conjured up by racist white men, after they saw just how much evangelicals supported Trump.

Trumps win was an excruciating moment for non-believers also.

I felt that my witnessing efforts were in vain when I was told by Blacks, Caucasians, and Latinos, "Get out of here with that (expletive) man-made or white man's new way of enslaving people." I was recently told by a Jew, "You Christians have it all wrong. Jesus is not the Messiah", etc. Some of you have no idea how much resistance the street evangelist is up against. And its all because of self-righteous evangelicals, or tares among the wheat, who speak with forked tongues.

We won't really get a pure glimpse of who the Lord is until the Uzziahs are out of the way.

Christians shouldn't be voting anyway. We should go into the fields ripe for harvest.

I concede, John, and if you could see me right now, you'd see me waving a white, I give up, flag. Your intelligence, as well as your heightened level of reasoning capabilities, and sound, natural born logic processing, are far above and beyond the understanding of my limited mind. After all, I can't think of anything I've ever said that's made any sense, or one, single time that I've been right about anything that's had to do with you and your link to the church of Rome, etc. In this particular case, my weak and feeble mind was actually trying to convince me that you misunderstood me. How ridiculous, right? You're obviously far more intelligent than anyone here, but you shouldn't flaunt it with condescending remarks when being stupid isn't anything that anyone can change. You should try to be more patient with everyone, and ask for clarification at times because our slower minds don't always process things so well as we type out our thoughts.

Tim and US - good comments.

Politics cannot fix America's problem. Sin in every form and fashion is rampant in this nation, politics only add to the sin problem. Jim L. is blind to this fact, for he is consumed by liberal politics. Idolatry comes in various forms and fashion, we all must pray for God to guard our own hearts from it.

America is in dire need of our prayers, crying out to our God to send forth His truth, to stop the mouths of the countless deceivers, and to put an end to all this madness. May He have mercy on this godless nation, may He send forth his truth.

Here is your alternative solution - 1 Timothy 5:8

Those who father children and the women who become with child are responsible for caring for that child and NOT the taxpayer! Socialism is evil and seeks to only add to the problem.

Our culture is rampant with sexual immorality, and that immoral behavior produces children out of wedlock. The world needs to hear the true gospel, sinners being saved by grace, and not the accursed gospel that says if you do this or that you will be saved.
Jim L. your politics cannot 'fix' what is wrong with our culture because the root cause is sin. May God give you ears to hear and topple your idol.

“[F]or thousands of people in my district who are low-income, working-class folks, it’s [current Nebraska health care] not only making them go bankrupt, they’re starting to die,” Morfeld said. His bill was referred to a committee.

President Obama via executive orders and policies (another article on this site notes Trump changing some of this) promoting LBQT pursuits that are being used to close down and/or harass Christian businesses, ministries, and organizations
Jim seems to forget that our Lord said whoever’s does things unto the least of these my children has done it unto Me.

President Obama’s executive orders and policies have allowed men into areas into which they
have no business being. This has led to hundreds of sexual crimes against woman

But somehow we’re going to say Obama has any kind of moral high gound??!??

Sad to think such thought would even be considered

Ladybug wrote, "Personal morality is the 'main thing'? Says who? There are those who are morally good, yet they perish in their sins."
You're absolutely right, Ladybug. If we ever had a president with a strong sense of personal morality, it's been a long time. But the president is not the thermostat of national morality. He is only the thermometer. It's extremely difficult for an immoral nation to produce a moral leader. America doesn't need a new president. We need a new heart and that is only possible through the new birth. God save America--by saving American sinners.

Personal morality is the 'main thing'? Says who? There are those who are morally good, yet they perish in their sins.

This should make you very proud - https://www.nbcnews.com/feature/nbc-out/obama-becomes-first-sitting-president-grace-cover-lgbt-magazine-n460696

So, you have NO problem with Obama going against God's design for marriage found in Genesis 2:24, but you rant on and on and on about Trump? That's hypocrisy. BOTH men are vile sinners, yet you spend all your time and energy bashing one political party and exalting another. Obama is just as vile as Trump. The bible says all have sinned and fall short, it doesn't say Democrats get a pass.

Your greatest problem is you are void of the new birth. The fruit you bear is fleshly and worldly.

I am comparing personalized because that's the main thing that counts personal morality. I think Obama must had some help with it and for that matter the Supreme Court with Republican justices agreed to it also.

When push comes to shove Trump has a worse influence then Obama did.

Russell Moore wrote:
...Journalist Mark Halperin noted...that virtually all of the “reaffirmation of support” for Trump, following the disclosure of his sexually predatory recorded comments, were from religious conservative leaders. This is a scandal and a disgrace, but it should not be a surprise....

...We know nothing new about Donald Trump. He has told us about his view of women, his view of sexuality, his views of marriage and family for more than 30 years. He has gloried in reality television decadence before reality television was even invented, in his boasts to tabloid reporters. He reaffirmed who he is over and over again, even during this campaign — from misogynistic statements to racist invective to crazed conspiracy theorizing....

Jim

No one here is comparing the personal lives of Trump and Obama. Is one a better sinner than the other? Are you fit to make that call?

Now, you avoided the question - do you remember Obama legalized sodomite marriage? Do you understand both political parties do not oppose infanticide?

You don't bother reasoning with anyone here because that isn't your goal. You only come to spew out an agenda that supports a political party. If Christ were your Lord, you would see the foolishness of politics, the evils of it and you would not be consumed by it.

May God have mercy on you
Christ IS coming again, and all you seem to care about is the temporal control of the Democrats in American politics. Your continual bashing of Donald Trump is not good, the bible warns against speaking evil of others. God IS sovereign, like it or not, Trump is president and there isn't anything you can do to change what God has ordained.
It's best to pray for him, and for this nation. The clock is ticking

Jim, first of all, Randall Balmer statements were not backed up with facts that he showed, they were just his opinion. So to question whether his opinion, as that was all that was offered, is a reliable one is not an ad homonien attack.

Second, I have several times showed what you put out in your links is inaccurate and even false, but you still continued to post them as if they were reliable and true. Thus it seems you have no interest in accuracy or proving that a statement is true or an argument is sound.

Obama's policies have been far more detrimental and hurtful to Christians and for that matter to non-Christians than anything under the Trump administration.

Christians put no trust in government, in ideologies, in party's, in elected officials or judges. We can only hope and pray that they would remember that righteous exalts a nation but sin is a reproach to any people. We can only pray that God would so providentially guide them in their decisions so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

You, and the rest of us, would do well to meditate and apply James 3:17 to our posts,
