Bama Player Says Speaking in Tongues Helped Him Win the Game
Minutes after throwing the game-winning touchdown pass in Monday night's College Football Playoff National Championship game in Atlanta, Alabama Tua Tagovailoa wasn't hesitant to give God the credit.
"I was praying," Tagovailoa says. "I was speaking in tongues. It kept me calm."
He continued: "I would say my poise comes from my faith. I just pray for peace."
Not an uncommon occurrence for some athletes, but Tagovailoa's thankful words caught the attention of evangelist Franklin Graham, who praised the 18-year-old freshman for his boldness on ESPN's national telecast. With a host of liberal broadcasters on its roster, ESPN isn't exactly kingdom-friendly....

Great job, Tim!
That's exactly what true Christians do.
Since your free pass has been removed, I apologise to you too for being an irritant. I want nothing more than to see all parties being reconciled, but sadly some are too proud and stiff necked to humble themselves. Kev, Christopher and you are setting a great example to all. This is a party of pilgrims worth joining!

very cool Dr. Tim that shows a lot of strength! You are setting an excellent example!

Oh so much could be said, but what's the point? The people who lie, misrepresent, mock, etc. Will be seen as scholars, and those who tell truth will be regarded as heretics.

I see you have a problem in recognizing YOUR own part and not wanting to admit when you are wrong (not only in this situation). That is not a good thing. Hopefully you do a little soul searching as your comment was to point the finger somewhere else and not take any consideration of what I said.
The true John for everyone to view. Self righteous to the core!
John UK wrote: Kev, that is actually a lie. It comes by way of an exaggeration, designed to make me out to be always calling people devils. So it is effectively yet another misrepresentation.

Dr. Tim, let me say I am glad you have joined the group of people who post here regularly. You put out some good thoughts and all of us enjoy your sense of humor.
I didn't say word one about an apology (which yours was not) as I am not trying to play the role of parent or the Holy Spirit.
I would think you see the issue with using disputings as you did in quoting Philippians 2:14 as that would mean we would have to let all posts stand without comment even if they contained error or lacked any common sense. You, rightfully, have not done this and I really don't believe you think others should.
You chose to question ladybug's intelligence, knowledge of Scripture, maturity and looks. I actually thought that was out of character for you.
I will be the first to admit that she has a special place in my heart so my thinking toward her is not unbiased.
Dr Tim from the "third grade graduation class" says...... "Guy, did those puppies eat you? Haven't heard from you in a while."
Not yet (though they want to eat my nose, and my ears). I'm not big into claim it, speak it ism. Figured I'd leave it to the more edamucated 1s to diskuss.....

Kev, that is actually a lie. It comes by way of an exaggeration, designed to make me out to be always calling people devils. So it is effectively yet another misrepresentation.
Now if someone continually tells lies, (not inadvertently as you may have done above), but quite deliberately, and with careful cunning, designed to separate me from the rest of the posters on SA, and thus achieve a supposed great victory and have satisfaction in achieving control over the saints here, in getting them to do HER will (note, she succeeded in a few, not the many), then I think I have the right to quote the scripture which shows that all liars shall have their part in the lake of fire, because they are so evidently of the devil and are behaving devilish.
Now if Ladybug wishes to recant of all her lies and subterfuge, then there will be some evidence of a change of heart, which is called repentance, and I am always ready and willing to forgive anyone. But she will have to do some heart searching, and understand her carnal motivation in opposing a man of God using lies to achieve that.

Oh the self righteousness! Isn't it nauseating?
What a difference between Kev who confesses to contributing unworthily and apologises to all and sundry and John UK who waits to be apologised to forgetting that he has been the one who is constantly stirring, muddying, name calling etc.
Speak about mote and beam!

Amazingly godly response to UPS, NOT!
Difficult to stop the hate when you're part of the lynch mob, isn't it?
I'm sorry that Hawaiian quarterback threw that stinking touchdown pass. There--I said I'm sorry. Guy, did those puppies eat you? Haven't heard from you in a while.

Ok John to be fair it is not fair to call you:
1. Unregenerate
3. Ecumenist (though you have defended some who are) 4. Dec.. 6. One who says a simple nod is good enough for salvation
9. Charismatic 10. Universalist 11. Roman Catholic troll
I don’t feel those titles fit you to be honest. Some of the other ones I erased you can ask about individually if you’d like. If I called you those things I don’t feel they are an accurate thing to call you and I MYSELF would clear the air and apologize if you did the same for things you may have called me (if I was the other party). I already apologized to you already and I have no problem in doing it again.
What about YOUR PART, calling people devils etc..? Any thing you feel YOU feel you should say?
Dr. Tim you are confusing two different Greek words. The word disputing in Philippians 2:14 is not the same as those disputing in Acts 15 and 28, which would fit the definition you used in quoting it to sister ladybug. It carries the idea of doubting and even vain imaginations.
I normally try and stay out of arguments between the brethren here but when she asked if you always do loving things, your post of 1/17/18 2:45 PM shows you apparently do not, it was, in my opinion, overboard and unkind(we will see if the moderators agree, so if the thread gets shut down you can blame me)

I agree that’s why I brought up both parties involved. I know that being married teaches you how to make peace with each other I’m sure you know this lesson you can either be right all the time (thinking you had no role in it) or happy.

John when I made my first comment this morning I wanted to know your answer. Later after I started to make comments I felt it would be good if we tried to work on all this bickering after I read some of the comments. Wouldnt it be great if everyone could at least acknowledge their own part and try to at least put it past us. I don’t think this will happen unless everyone claims their own part. I figure it was worth the shot and I’m trying to lead by example like you said No ONE is innocent in all this.
