Berating and slapping two pastors into signing an apology letter before police, Hindu extremists stopped a planned three-day gospel meeting in Chhattisgarh state, India minutes before it was to begin, sources said.
Hindu nationalists beat pastor Vijay Jogi and pastor Santosh Rao minutes before the start of the first meeting, where about 1,000 people had gathered at the Railway Grounds in Charoda, Durg District on Nov. 16, pastor Amos James told Morning Star News.
‚ÄúPastor Vijay Jogi and Pastor Santosh Rao were receiving the people at the entrance,‚ÄĚ Pastor James said. ‚ÄúSuddenly a mob of 70 Hindu Dharm Sena and Bajrang Dal activists gheraoed [encircled] the entrance, and Pastor Jogi and Pastor Rao were beaten and summoned to the police station.‚ÄĚ...
Well, that was more for you 'shroom loving hippies, turned kazoo playing, moonshine running hillbillys who might have misunderstood, took offense, and sent the bloodhounds after me for offending you and your backwoods, wooden teeth wearing, spoon playing, no bath taking, kin.
We often concentrate on the most destructive, national religions, while forgetting how many are trapped abroad in religions far older than Christianity and Roman Catholicism. Hinduism, Buddism, Zoroastrianism, Jainism, Confucianism, Taoism, Judaism, and Taoism. All from around the 10th to 5th century, BC. These made me think of how new the US really is, and all of the ridiculous man-made religions/cults we deal with here, invented only within the past 250yrs or so, by troubled minds and those who hate God. I wonder how many Muslims are aware that their beloved Muhammed considered Christians and Jews, allies, and that Islam was originally for the Jews before both rejected him as a prophet? Even Islam is young in comparison, being invented only in the 7th century AC. 6,316 is the estimated deaths per hour...worldwide. Think about that, and then consider the comparison if we could view the traffic occupying the pathways to Heaven and Hell each hour, and all day long, day after day, simultaneously. Never give up on anyone.
Jon from Pennsylvania writes: "I have not heard from any of these comments the spirit of the Sermon on the mount; "Love your enemies and pray for those that persecute you". All that I hear is mocking, and ridicule. If we respond in that manner, we will only receive the same. Paul's response to the idolatry in Athens was much more conciliatory and in the spirit of a peacemaker."
To clear up some misunderstanding, no one in the previous posts mocked Indians or Hindus as people, but rather their religious system. While I understand ‚Äčyour concern, I would‚Äč also point out that God Himself mocks paganism throughout the old and new testaments. Pagan religions are all ridiculous and laughable. Loving our enemies doesn't mean loving or even not speaking of their sin. Elijah belittled Baal, the Hindu pantheon is no different.
Now I will say the post from noj was a ridiculous and downright sinful rant from someone who in all likelihood is not a Christian. The other side of the ditch.

I see it was deleted by SA. Good thing as I quoted only half and the rest was worse.

noj wrote: Jon you pathetic pacifist, it is because of people like you and your vile sickening pacifist heresy that is THE reason for the murder, rape, enslavement, torture and abuse of hundreds of millions worldwide, and because of sickening beliefs like yours it WILL only continue and NEVER end, because vile beliefs like yours demand that not one finger be lifted in violence to stop violence, thus you are more wicked then the wicked in that you literally believe your god empowers the evil to flourish and multiply their evil, "ALL FOR JESUS", while everyone one else must turn the other cheek and bow and allow the wicked whatever they wish to do.
Following your line of thinking, Jesus would also be a pathetic pacifist for submitting to the Jews who hated Him and the Roman cross.
Rom 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
But then the truth is wasted on you as you clearly are not a Christian.
I have not heard from any of these comments the spirit of the Sermon on the mount; "Love your enemies and pray for those that persecute you". All that I hear is mocking, and ridicule. If we respond in that manner, we will only receive the same. Paul's response to the idolatry in Athens was much more conciliatory and in the spirit of a peacemaker. Read Acts 17:16-34; Paul sought points of contact from his knowledge of the Greek worldview, there is no hint of mockery or ridicule, but only an appeal as an ambassador of God for all men to repent and believe the Gospel. We who haven't experienced serious opposition or persecution have much to learn in this regard. Lord make me an instrument of your mercy and love for all men, and help to correct with gentleness those that are opposed!
Dr. Tim from Southern U.S. writes: "Farmer, you better be kind to all them ducks. One of them may be somebody's grandmother."
How convicting Dr. Tim! I'm actually about to be selling some of my ducks and does that make me a traitor to my family? What if I'm selling my Uncle Mike? Which of the five gabillion deities would forgive me!? Maybe if I give the neighbors horse an extra carrot that'll make everything all right. ūüėĆ
