Roy Moore denies sexual misconduct allegations

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore, a Southern Baptist long known for his support of Judeo-Christian values in the public square, has denied allegations he initiated a sexual encounter with a 14-year-old girl decades ago.

The allegations were published Thursday (Nov. 9) by The Washington Post, which claims Moore, 70, also pursued dating relationships with three other teenagers when he was in his early 30s.

Moore's campaign said in a Nov. 9 statement, "After 40 years of public service, if any of these allegations were true, they would have been made public long before now.

"Judge Roy Moore is winning with a double-digit lead," the statement said. "So it is no surprise, with just over four weeks remaining, in a race for the U.S. Senate with national implications, that the Democratic Party and the country's most liberal newspaper would come up with a fabrication of this kind. This ...

It was defense of the 10 commandments that gave Moore prominence & interesting to note Moore emphasis of the 10 commandment is fully Biblical, as Christ put His seal upon each one--
I. Mat22:37.
II. Jn4:24.
III. Mat5:34.
IV. Mark 2:27. Lk13:14- 16.
V. Mat 15:4-6; 19:19. Mk7:10.
VI. Mat5:21.
VII. Mat5:28; 19:9, 18.
VIII. Mat15:19.
IX. Mat12:34-37.
X. Matthew 5:28.
In Mat19:18, the Lord omitted Commandment X to convict His questioner, who said, "ALL these have I kept." Upon which the Lord's command in verse 21 convicted him of its breach, as shown by the man's sorrow in verse 22.
--
All this to say,
the Law of God is why Moore is hated.
Got nothin' much to do with him maybe behavin' like
Kennedys, Clinton, Movie,Music, Tv idols.
Nope.

Four hundred thousand people accuse Clintons of six hundred thousand crimes, many of which are well documented and have eyewitnesses who have not yet died under mysterious circumstances. Verdict of the press: Innocent until proven guilty of completely spurious and unfounded claims, and then still innocent because it was all a vast right-wing conspiracy to begin with. Five shady ladies accuse a populist Republican of misdeeds from long enough ago that there is no way to prove their veracity. Press's verdict: GUILTY AS CHARGED!!! HANG 'IM HIGH!!! They should be in a zoo, 'cause they sure are some hippo critters.

Malkin on whether Menendez will vote to seat any Moore like him:
"I pronounce Democrat leaders, left-wing feminists and Beltway journalists guilty of gross negligence and hypocrisy over a dirty rotten sleazeball in their midst.

For the past 11 weeks, Bob Menendez has been on trial for 18 counts of bribery, fraud and corruption involving nearly $1 million in gifts and donations. The jury remained deadlocked as of Tuesday. A new Media Research Center analysis reported that ABC, CBS and NBC devoted 40 times more of their morning and evening TV newscast coverage this past week to Alabama GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore's alleged sexual assault accusers than to the ongoing federal trial of one of the Democrats' most powerful, visible and entrenched figures on Capitol Hill.
--
Top Democrat leaders, so quick to call for the resignation of GOP candidates convicted in the court of public opinion, remain noncommittal about where they'll stand if Menendez is convicted. Liberal media partisans are deliberately ignoring the story because they are incapacitated by Trump Derangement Syndrome. Women's advocates looked the other way at Justice Department court filings on "specific, corroborated allegations that defendants Menendez and Melgen had sex with underage prostitutes in the D.R."

From that hotbed of liberalism, the LA Times, it appears that it be highly unlikely that the Senate would expel rollicking Roy❗
Eric J. Segall wrote:
Take Roy Moore. As despicable a figure as he is (besides the allegations of sexual misconduct, he has twice had to leave judicial office for refusing to obey the law), the people of Alabama may want him in the Senate. Is it fair to allow senators from other states to exclude him and, given the court's comments in Powell, for conduct that he engaged in long ago?

In the Powell decision, the [Supreme] court underlined its doubts about the reach of the expulsion power: A "fundamental principle of our representative democracy is, in Hamilton's words, 'that the people should choose whom they please to govern them.' … As Madison pointed out at the [Constitutional] Convention, this principle is undermined as much by limiting whom the people can select as by limiting the franchise itself."

--]]http://tinyurl.com/ydxnoq4d (Could the Senate keep Roy Moore out if he were elected? Don't bet on it).

You guys can relax - - from this fellow's opinion, this colorful Dixiecan could be decorating the halls of Congress for quite a spell.

Interesting, Carl.

You know? I was where many of you are. Frustrated and, yes, offended with this part of the site. But I read Jeremiah 15 and was humbled and repented like he was humbled and repented. You read his complaint in Jer 15:15-18. Sounds familiar? Then you have to chuckle at God's response in Jer. 15:19-21 telling him to repent and be delivered.

In our time we are like Jeremiah in his time. "Thus saith YHWH" not only means nothing anymore to the unsaved but also to many who claim to represent him. But this site is good in that the Penneds, the Jims, the Johns, the Ladybugs, and many many others can gather and, as God says, "reason together." You might not notice it at first but if you look in the upper left corner of the page you will see a number in red. As of this composition mine reads "6.665 active users." Now, they all might not be reading these posts but a big chunk of them are and you can bet that some are being persuaded by the opinions posted here.

One last thing: Tribulation ultimately results in proven character. I have no idea what Roy did or didn't do 40 yrs ago; and I would be disappointed if he did those things. But I know that for many years the world has proved his character. The Sculptor etches character in the images he makes to stand weather, time, and test.

Sister,
When that changes, contact me- I've included my e-mail alongside my moniker. It would be a blessing to converse with you and the elect away from these threads, which as bro Observer rightly stated, 'is rife with people who are pretty clueless ... the blind leading the blind ... and the few who do really know the grace of God are ridiculed and treated with derision.' It would be a blessing to have a group chat, or some type of forum we could communicate on without the ones our brother speaks of ruining our fellowship and causing derision.

Thanks from us also sister, for the update on our dear brother.
He has chosen the best path to Glorify his Lord and Saviour; better to bid adieu than to be a part of an ongoing battle that is nothing more than a walking in the flesh.

The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit.
Grace be with you all.
Amen.

Jiminy, maybe Jesus should step down from this whole Messiah thing. I mean there were allegations that He was a glutton and a winebiner. He was accused by a very prominent citizen of being a malefactor. Someone else said Jesus spoke blasphemies. According to your reasoning, He is not qualified to run for the office of King of kings.

One should realize that even if Moore does get elected, his anti-abortion stance will not get him seated. One can seriously doubt, especially since he is anti-homosexual, 👍 (Catholics are not happy about that❗), but he is an alleged pedophile, 👎and a lawbreaker being removed from the Alabama Supreme Court for not enforcing the laws. He should have resigned, if he didn't want to obey the law - - how ever wrong those laws may be.
You should have stated liberal Catholics are not happy that Moore is anti-homosexual instead of stating Catholics are not happy that Moore is anti-homosexual. Stating Catholics are not happy that Moore is anti-homosexual denotes that all Catholics are not happy about that. Liberal Catholics should be excommunicated from the Catholic Church so that there are only conservative Catholics.

The law he refused to enforce was illegal. I know that doesn't even make sense to you. But it is one reason the royal class doesn't like him.

The GOP is often described as America's pro-life political party. In reality, however, the GOP is not pro-life. At best, it's merely anti-abortion. At worst, it's simply misogynistic. Regardless, the Republican Party's concern for human dignity ends the moment someone is actually born. After that, it's the coldness and cruelty of Ayn Rand and social Darwinism, all the way down.

Hmmmm. I just heard it reported that Moore was banned from his local, hometown mall at the time for "bothering" young girls, whatever that amounts to. The Hannity show just reoorted it, but will have to check the source which wasn't mentioned. What a mess.
Sure is. Amazing the memory recall and/or allegations that show up just before elections or appointments. Moore isn't alone in this. Clarence Thomas comes to mind. Herman Cain. Donald Trump. Others. And when the success or failure of the office seeker is had, we never hear another word from those same accusers. It tells us more about them than they might think. Trial by media bribery is illegal, or so I thought.
