Most Catholics now back abortion

Most British Catholics now back abortion, according to a new census which shows a dramatic shift in Christians' social views.

For the first time a majority of Catholics – who typically hold to conservative views on issues of life and death – agreed 'the law should allow an abortion if the woman decides . . . she does not wish to have a child'.

By the way, John Y.,
Dave Hunt wrote:
...I replied to this letter in part as follows: “I share your pain and horror that mothers could turn their wombs…into killing chambers, with the approval of the world’s… governments. And I share your frustration and helplessness at not knowing how to stem the tidal wave of evil…which only gathers momentum in spite of all efforts to turn it back....

I went on to explain that we cannot force the ungodly to live by God’s standards. Nor is abortion the only or perhaps even the worst evil. Prostitutes and homosexuals destroy the lives of untold millions of young people; drug dealers, more millions than abortionists. And what about those psychiatrists and psychologists who have devastated lives for eternity, or the atheistic high school and university teachers who have corrupted the faith of millions more? Should we kill all such persons? I cannot find teaching or example in the entire Bible to indicate that Christians are to combat the world’s sins except with the gospel....

Perhaps you can convert liberal Catholics into conservative ones?

John Y., yes, so what the Pope that advocated your viewpoint, Benny 16, resigned Pope Franny, says its time you get in line.
Catholic Herald wrote:
“Evangelical and Catholic integralists condemn traditional ecumenism and yet promote an ecumenism of conflict that unites them in the nostalgic dream of a theocratic type of state,” the article says.

The authors contrast all this with Pope Francis, saying he advocates an ecumenism that “moves under the urge of inclusion, peace, encounter and bridges”, adding: “Francis radically rejects the idea of activating a Kingdom of God on earth as was at the basis of the Holy Roman Empire and similar political and institutional forms, including at the level of a ‘party.’”

John, do you think anyone here cares about the size of the church of Rome? You always seem to concentrate on the sodomy/abortion aspect, while never, ever, ever, mentioning the litany of abominable, eternally fatal doctrines that the church teaches, promotes, condones, practices, and commands on pain of ex-communication and anathema.
The Baptist church and the church of Rome are diametrically opposed to one another, as one is with God, and the other is against. I don't care what your creed says either, or that they read passages from the Bible...the evidence against them convicts them. They have been found guilty by God Himself.

The 'fruit' of a dead religion is simply this....they go against God's truth, then they twist that truth and form doctrines of men. The RCC is filled with doctrines of men, and sin, including homosexual priests. They attempted to sweep this under the rug until it was so widespread they could no longer hide their filth.
This religious organization has never taught truth, for there is no truth in dead religion. Taking bits and pieces of the bible and adding to that or taking from it means it is no longer God's pristine, pure, unadulterated truth. Anyone who defends this evil religion only proves they have not been born again by God the Spirit. Playing the religion card has sent and will continue to send multitudes to hell. Refusing to love God's pure truth will result in being turned over to strong delusion, as we witness daily on these threads. Being a fence straddler is costly.

I really don't care in what Rome thinks from this specific aspect as she promotes another gospel message, through an insufficient Jesus, who doesn't & can't save sinners to the utter most amen!

Alveda C. King, daughter of slain civil-rights leader A.D. King & niece of Martin Luther King, Jr., quotes her uncle often when outlining her opposition of abortion. She writes:

Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, “The Negro cannot win as long as he is willing to sacrifice the lives of his children for comfort & safety.” How can the “Dream” survive if we murder the children? Every aborted baby is like a slave in the womb of his or her mother. The mother decides his or her fate.

Very well said. My understanding as well.

""Most British Catholics now back abortion, according to a new census which shows a dramatic shift in Christians' social views.""

Wonder why they think that Roman Catholic views will be the same as Christian ones??

Must be ignorance of the reprobates.

Abortion is state run serial killing.

To remove a life you must kill that life.
That is murder.

The nation is culpable before God.
Isn't that democracy?

Roman Catholicism is NOT biblical
Dear Ladybug
This is something I am painfully aware of, yet how do we show this reality to Catholic People and even to their Priests, who sometimes, not always, humanly, and let me stress "humanly" speaking are often far nicer precious people than we in our flesh might want to admit?

And then go on and be used by God to win them to Christ? I am really not asking anyone for anyone to feel they have to give an answer to this, as in my humble opinion it is something we must seek God for and about until He makes real His answer and we see Him using imperfect people like us to see sinners soundly saved.

Although, I can give a brief word of testimony ... while preaching outside the local abortion clinic, using the 10 Commandments as a loving school master, for preaching the Gospel (the greatest need is to see sinners there saved) a RC Monk who was there in my words was so touched for this "Baptist" he wanted to pray for me (and not to be RC either), he also wanted to come herar me preach in Church but his boss (priest) sent him to Ohio before he could hear me. Probably not a perfect example but a learning one for me.

I hope people like this

Being surrounded by Roman Catholics, I know firsthand how liberal they are. Some of the older, more old school ones have held onto what's good and right, morally, but beyond that, you can't separate most from an Athiest, Agnostic, etc. Thanks to a gross lack of the knowledge of Gods Word, coupled with confession, penance, indulgences, and being under the umbrella of Rome, nothing is really off-limits. The worst thing that can happen is that they spend extra time in Purgatory, but all go to Heaven...eventually.
The ones I know are foul mouthed, partiers, drink to excess, use God's name in vain, freely, support sodomy, the transgender nonsense, loved Obama, cried when Hillary lost, take no issue with, and see psychics, have no problem with abortion, etc., etc.
A Pope and a church will save them and every single one will tell you they're good people, call themselves Christian, and even mention mass and praying for this and that, yet their lives tell a much different story of who they truly serve. Sad.

No surprise the next to go is

Pew Research wrote:
Views on abortion by religious affiliation, 2017

Seven-in-ten white evangelical Protestants (70%) think abortion should be illegal in all or most cases.

By contrast, 80% of religiously unaffiliated Americans say abortion should be legal in all or most cases, as do two-thirds of white mainline Protestants (67%).

Black Protestants and Catholics are somewhat more divided. Among black Protestants, 55% say abortion should be legal in all or most cases, while 41% say it should be illegal. And, among Catholics, 53% say abortion should be legal in all or most cases and 44% say it should be illegal.
