The Ashers bakery Christian couple found guilty of discrimination for refusing to make a gay-themed cake are being criticised for refusing to bake another cake with a gay theme.
Just weeks after the Court of Appeal upheld a finding that Ashers had discriminated against Gareth Lee because of his sexuality when it refused to bake him a gay wedding cake, the company's owners, the McArthurs, are refusing to bake a gay engagement cake.
Joe Palmer plans to marry his partner Andy Wong later this year and ordered a cake with the wording: 'Gay marriage rocks! Happy engagement, Andy and Joe! Lots of love xxx'.
The cake was ordered and paid for online by a friend of the couple but the order was declined the next day....
