C of E Bishop: Rethink traditional view of marriage
Genesis’ teaching on marriage needs to be ‘reconsidered’, a Church of England Bishop has stated, but The Christian Institute says the Bible’s message is clear.

The Rt Revd Paul Bayes, the Bishop of Liverpool, is one of a number of Anglicans who have contributed to a book on “Revisiting scripture and sexuality”.

In it, he says: “Some reconsideration of how we should now understand the Genesis perspective on marriage is necessary, as well as exploration on how far that should affect the underlying principles.” ...

Why Liberals do not read the truth in Scripture:~

"The theology of liberal Christianity was prominent in the Biblical criticism of the 19th and 20th centuries. The style of Scriptural hermeneutics (interpretation of the Bible) within liberal theology is often characterized as non-propositional. This means that the Bible is not considered a collection of factual statements, but instead an anthology that documents the human authors' beliefs and feelings about God at the time of its writing—within a historical or cultural context. Thus, liberal Christian theologians do not claim to discover truth propositions but rather create religious models and concepts that reflect the class, gender, social, and political contexts from which they emerge. Liberal Christianity looks upon the Bible as a collection of narratives that explain, epitomize, or symbolize the essence and significance of Christian understanding." (Wiki)

What nonsense that you believe that there are homosexual marriage ceremonies taking place without a state issued marriage license in any Catholic Church. That is just plain nonsense. Nobody in their right mind would believe that. If there are homosexual marriage ceremonies taking place without a state issued marriage license taking place in any Catholic Church that would be front page news. But since there has not been any news about such a marriage ceremony taking place then no such marriage ceremony has taken place in any Catholic Church.

The grave problem with "evangelicals" in not only the Church of England, but many other denominations, is that they have spiritualised Genesis, embracing Darwinism and evolution, and allegorised prophecy, particularly the 2nd Coming.

They have also bowed to the Postmodernism of the 21st Century, and embraced Pragmatism, Seeker Sensitive and Entertainment Evangelism.

The C of E could desperately do with Bishop J C Ryle, Charles Simeon, John Newton, and men like them nowadays.

With regard to the Roman Catholic Church, in addition to the false doctrines they have held over the centuries, they are now lumbered with a Jesuit Pope, who actually contradicts some of the doctrines of his own church, leading to Interfaith, Globalisation and Universalism, and is the despair of many traditional Catholics. Pope Francis has certainly fooled many evangelicals as well.

Y'all might find this interesting, I read in another forum that Mel Gibson is going to make a second Passion of The Christ that deals with the resurrection.
No need to go see a film concerning the Resurrection written and produced by a pagan worshipper..just read the Book.

Is Fruitcake Fornication any more moral than Fruitcake Marriage? This is what happens when man makes up un-scriptural standards of perfection- the RCC would consider it “sin” for a Priest to marry a Woman, but they industriously cover up the actual sins that their man-made morality encourages.

What's it matter? They are accursed.

Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Doesn’t matter because it's still a false religion. No such thing as being partially Christian. Never heard such logic.

Whether or not the religion of Rome conducts same gender unions is of no consequence:

What folks need to be told that adhere to that false religion:
All they will find there is a false gospel of infant baptismal regeneration.
Good works and "sacraments" that improve ones standing before GOD.
A "merit" system whereby Catholics working in cooperation of grace can earn eternal life.
A place called purgatory where one most atone for their sins.
The rejection of justification by faith alone through the imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ.

One problem of the Romish Church there's a left-wing and a right-wing, but no Christian-wing guiding it. Oh, by the way the above came from the Huffington Post. My desktop browser blocks a lot of garbage, but if your browser doesn't your browser may display stuff you care not to see.

The moderate Austrian Cardinal Cristoph Schonbrun told journalists predicted the synod’s final report would speak of “welcoming” gays.

The lobbying at the two-week summit of church leaders — a synod on family life that is set to wrap up Saturday with a final report — was epitomized by the retranslation of a headline from “welcoming homosexuals persons” to “providing for homosexual persons.”

The change in the English version was not made in Italian original where the term “accogliere,” which means “to welcome” was kept.

If the Catholic Church supported fruitcake marriage then don't you think that there would be homosexual marriage ceremonies taking place in Catholic Churches? But there are no homosexual marriage ceremonies taking place in any Catholic Church because the Catholic Church is against fruitcake marriage.

Really, John Y.? The Romish church supports queerdom! ]]http://tinyurl.com/jywxq2j (Clerical Celibacy) The queer priests of the Romish Church must be doing something wrong, (Well we do already know quite a few things they do wrong, e.g., ]]http://tinyurl.com/hs3yvm7 (Abuse Tracker) ) but how do you account for this, John? John Y., you should have realized by now, that your church isn't Christian, but it's a very immoral organization as well, that supports immorality. Their "actions speak louder than words."
