Atheists Call for 'Bible-Free' Hotel Rooms, Want Darwin's 'On the Origin of Species' Instead

The Freedom from Religion Foundation, America's largest association of atheists and agnostics, began a campaign Monday to rid all hotel rooms of Bibles distributed by The Gideons International and replaced with copies of Charles Darwin's "On the Origin of Species."

The Gideons International is well known worldwide for their work with hotels but according to their website, they predominantly share Scriptures in schools and colleges, prisons and jails, hospitals, and medical offices. The group is also an association of Christian business and professional men and their wives dedicated to telling people about Jesus through sharing personally and by providing Bibles and New Testaments.

In a release Monday, however, the FFRF charged that Gideons International was "exploiting hotels and motels to proselytize a captive audience," and informed the American Hotel and Motel Association that they wanted the ...

Mr. Lincoln,
I've quietly watched from the sidelines as you bring up the translation issue over and over and over again. You've continually called the version that I've read with no difficulty since 3rd grade an archaic worthless boat anchor. I have no problem if you prefer other versions, but would you please stop making sweeping assertions about the KJV? I can understand it (and actually enjoy it) better than the modern versions and I'm sure others on here do as well. If you begin reading it as a child, there's little difficulty. Children are used to being exposed to new, unknown words all the time. That's why the best time to learn a foreign language is in childhood. My parents where more than willing to explain any questions in addition to teaching me how to use Strong's Concordance if I wanted to know more. The net result has been an improved vocabulary and appreciation of scripture. Why would I do any less for my children?

Kirk Cameron distributed this annotated Origins

Kirk got a lot of opposition as an open Evangeligal Christian,,20307814,00.html

"But never has he ruffled so many feathers, especially among academics, as he has this week, slamming evolutionary theory as untrue, inherently un-Christian and the driving force behind some of the most horrendous catastrophes of the 20th century, including Adolf Hitler's plan to destroy "inferior races."

"You can see where [Hitler] clearly takes Darwin's ideas to some of their logical conclusions and compares certain races of people to lower evolutionary life forms," Cameron says. "If you take Darwin's theory and extend it to its logical end, it can be used to justify all number of very horrendous things."

Cameron, who lives outside of Los Angeles with his wife of 20 years, Chelsea Noble, and their six children, realizes that he is making himself a target by being so outspoken, but is willing to do so for a cause that he believes so strongly in.

"I am proud to bring this to people's attention," he says.

Time is a valuable resource not to be wasted in aimless, blind, stubborn haggling to not benefit.

Out of conscience, and when acting in good faith, constant wrangling is a practice out of place.

Obsessive behavioral patterns are part of psychotic disorders, or paid agendas.

Jim needs to do what this father did:

Mark 9:24 KJV
(24) And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

Or what this tax collector did:

Luke 18:13 KJV
(13) And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

instead of troubling the church:

Galatians 1:6-7 KJV
(6) I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
(7) Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

So, Moses, which version of the KJV that is in understandable English would you support? ]]American King James Version or ]]The 21st Century King James Version of the Holy Bible (KJ21®) since Elizabethan gobbledygook is sensibly rejected by Americans?

I affirm that anything--ANYTHING--which unnecessarily puts an obstacle between the present-day Bible reader and a better understanding of the Word of God is wrong and evil. To enslave English readers to a single translation which is often archaic and obscure, occasionally wholly unintelligible and sometimes plainly inaccurate when other versions that remedy these defects are easily accessible is a monument to mere human tradition and is, as it were, to spit in the face of the very purpose of Bible translation, and to deny to the mere English reader the fuller knowledge of God and His revelation he could have if, IF such obstacles were removed by use of a revised translation which conforms to current English usage, and the infallible standard of the original text

Modern Bible Onlyism, atheism, and Darwinism are tirelessly working hard to remove the KJV the Word of God completely from the face of the earth but they’ll be very very sad and will be truly disappointed because it won’t happen in their lifetime neither throughout eternity.

Hear the Royal declaration of God 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Matthew 24:35 (KJV) AMEN!

"In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins" (Colossians 1:14 KJV).

"In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins" (Colossians 1:14 NIV).

There is a very simple explanation why the scholars who produced the NIV did not include the words "through his blood." When the passage was translated into English, the words did not come from the early Greek manuscripts. The phrase was most likely borrowed from Ephesians 1:7, which happens to be a parallel passage to Colossians 1:14.

Blood study Got me moving on in Acts to 20:28 and the
Blood of God, or the Blood of His Own: Our Unique Savior
I remember a missions trip study of this vs with a friend using a Gideon's Bible(AV)- we grabbed the Hotel version to use since he had a different version.

Acts 20:28
" Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood."

The one blood of an Adamic race- all related-
contrasts with the unique Blood of the second Adam who bought the Church with His blood.

The Origin of The Church(Acts)better read then racist Darwin's "favored races" myth.

Pastor Don Fortner had good sermon notes on the blood of God

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, having assumed our nature, is forever one of us. He is really, and truly, and forever “the Man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5). Jesus Christ our God is a real man.

Christ died as a man; but because he is God, his blood is of infinite merit (Acts 20:28).

Thus one blood of ch 17 contrasts with God's blood of ch 20

In Him we are one new nation thru His blood-
