Pastor Outed as Ashley Madison User Commits Suicide

A pastor and seminary teacher who was exposed as a member of Ashley Madison — the dating website that facilitates hookups between married individuals — has taken his own life.

Dr. John Gibson, 56, a communications professor at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, Louisiana, was among millions of individuals who were listed in the highly publicized Ashley Madison hack last month, according to the Daily Mail.

Gibson, a married father of two, was found dead on August 24 by his wife, Christi, just six days after millions of names were publicly leaked by the hackers. ...

Yes, I noticed that too, Penny.

Both SC and ladybug had posts removed, kudos to the moderators.

I believe there is much need for heartsearching and repentance from those who upset Jessica so much, lest the Lord break out against the perpetrators. Maybe it would be helpful if Mr Dawson himself came on and posted what caused him to take Jess off the forums.

Being shut in, and having at least the blessing of being able to communicate with friends through SA, Mr Dawson must have had a VERY strong reason to pull her off the SA lifeline.

Jessica is a great example of how a godly woman should submit to her "head".

The thread is about suicide. Anyone been suicidal? Know what it's like? I do, and it is not pleasant. Put yourself in Jessica's shoes just for a moment. Tormented in body and mind, she naturally has suicidal thoughts regularly. Even then, she sought to help anyone in that same state, she posted scriptures, SCRIPTURES! They were designed to bless. Such love! Such grace!

I sure hope she's all right, after the BAD treatment she got.

A beloved pastor on SermonAudio many years ago expressed going through dark days where he was tempted to commit suicide.
Sister Delores expressed being encouraged by these Scriptures, and now I am being maligned.
My husband has read, "ladybug's," post which says: "You suggest sc read Jessica's post and learn. I fear Jessica overlooks error for the sake of love, and you eat up posts such as hers because they do not point you to your error."
The posts being referred to, where I am accused of being in error are Christ's own very words: Mark 12:29-34; John 13:34-35. If I had been maligned for speaking my own words, what is that to me? Yet it is not I, who is being maligned, yet Christ.
I suffer from severe childhood head-injuries, and am not able to keep track of which belief, is attached to which alias? I am: shut-in; have an incurable autoimmune disease; and, am unable to care for myself, due to being an invalid.
I no longer have my husband’s blessing to, "stay in this toxic environment," I bid you adieu.
I love you all!"

Truth goes a little further when spoken in love and respect. Yet, any of us is capable of exhibiting flares-up of the works of the flesh. Pride dies slowly.

"Why do ye not rather take wrong?" 1 Co 6:6

"... being reviled, we bless" 1Co 4:12

Jessica, a little verse:
"Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer"
Rom 12:12

What a shame...........

And dear sister Jessica, the most needful of comfort and encouragement in our midst, is the innocent victim caught up in the crossfire.

Shameful.

. . .

God bless you, Jessica and Dolores, and it is understandable that you abstain from the abuse. Those who zealously seek to "correct" you need to learn a little meekness and humility from you.

Did not listen to the sermon, but read it online for my evening devotion.
In God's kind providence it was most comforting for my season of life and yes, much to ponder.
So glad. I think you would profit from *hearing* it. That was actually what riveted me. That and the fact that he spoke to me as my father did, story telling as he introduced his texts. I listened again with my son this afternoon. We'd had an exhausting day it was cold and rainy I finally got the nap resistant toddler to sleep. It kept my son's attention as well. It ended in a most profitble return trip to my home in conversation. We part company with true familial affection amidst the daily battle ground of this present life; but this day there was Mercy and Peace. When I thanked the Lord,I knew words could not express my heart's gratitude. Thank you B.McC for the suggestion.

Dear s c,
Which post of my four that is on this thread did I lie and slander?
If you are referring to the one where I said you are coming across as a bully...
That is how I perceived it, and still do.
Now please advise where I lied.

Ms. Ecumenical!

"I am a Christian.... I believe that there are many paths to the same place.... I am a great admirer of our founding charter... and its resolve to prevent disruptive strains of fundamentalism from taking root in this country.... I think Gandhi is a great example of a profoundly spiritual man who... never slipped into intolerance or dogma."[4] Quote from Obama!

Obama said: "I am a Christian. I'm rooted in the Christian tradition. I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people. That there are values that transcend race or culture, that move us forward, and there's an obligation for all of us individually as well as collectively to take responsibility to make those values lived."

The above are quotes from Obama. Now clearly you can see why he isn’t saved and yet you think he might me. He stands for nothing and therefore you stand for nothing. Do you understand the definition of "pluralism"? This man, as you know, is the greatest proponent of abortion and the homosexual agenda than any person to ever hold office and yet you say you “don’t know”.

This will be my last one, but since your doctrine is exactly like his, then others need to know that.

Jessica,

Let me attempt to bring clarity to this matter. I asked you who you were referring to in your 9/14 3:55 pm post. You did not answer that question, instead, you accuse me of maliciously attacking you.

You mention Mark 12 and John 13, those verses were not even in your comment that I was addressing. In your 3:55 pm comment you list Galatians, Luke 6, 1 Corinthians 4, 2 Timothy 2, and Proverbs 25. I have no clue what comment of yours you are referring to concerning Mark and John, nor did I address that comment. Confusion seems to be the issue here.
