I’m thankful and proud that Americans are standing up against the evil being forced on us. Our religious rights and freedoms are being trampled on. Clerk of Court Kim Davis in Rowan County, Kentucky, refused to issue marriage licenses for gay couples and defied the U.S. Supreme Court ruling…
We need more Americans who are willing to take a stand for religious freedoms and biblical values in our communities. If we don’t, we won’t even recognize the America that our children and our grandchildren will be left with. Pray for Kim Davis and for our nation today....
No, Penny, what is that a Christian is suppose to do?
Matthew 28 18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."---]]NASB
Read over the short article, ]]The Purpose of the Local Church and Community Issues Now, that is the purpose of the church. At least as far as I'm concerned, a Christian can go vote, campaign for a candidate, protest abortions, etc. But I do have news for you, you aren't going to establish a "Christian" Caliphate in this country! You probably can't even get ]]Blue Laws in the U.S expanded.
Penny, this sermon really has a good summary to it, ]]How the Church Relates to the Kingdom so just please read that even if you don't listen the sermon.
No, Penny, I am just showing the cynical use of "Christianity," for people's own purposes. it is not Christian behavior at all. As I have pointed out before,
]]The Christian Right Movement is a disaster for the mission of Christians! ' "The Reconstructionist movement and its allies and offshoots, by substituting political and cultural action for the proclamation of the Gospel, by substituting eschatology for soteriology, and by mangling the Gospel itself, have become tools of Romanist political action" (3/02, The Trinity Review).' excerpt from, ]]Notes on Reconstructionism. Oh, take special note of, ]]Dominion Theology/Kingdom Now/Reconstructionism is an anti-Biblical curse.
this is just an example of an antichristian Charismatic making use of her position to help advertise her false Church. her actions in many ways is just as immoral just as what she is supposed to be complaining about.
if she was trying to copy Martin Luther King she should have demanded that she be kept in jail longer.
Jim, I must admit, quite a clever consortium of half thoughts.... as you seem to say, there is no morality, unless of course someone bases their actions on it, then it is immoral, making immorality and apathy an actual form of moralism in your religion. yet, you defend the apathy with such energy and resolve, which begs the question, how can one be so active in defending inactivity, unless underneath, the problem is that they are just building another kingdom?
This story is just an example of one publicity seeker using another publicity seeker and both have little connection with Christianity.
Conservative Christians are overlooking ]]The Inadequacy of Moralism and of political action. Tony, why do you keep bringing Dave into the comments? Because of the Catholic Christian church discussion a while back? He admitted he was wrong about that. Not sure if you caught him admitting that he felt like a fool. Not a fool though, just misinformed, or not informed.

and then those children will have to take their stand as well. this is what enslavement does. yet we see the underground church in China has seen massive conversions. the pulpits here taught that the gospel had nothing to do with politics, ever since Johnson, so we have 2-3 generations of men who have learned to stand down. This is water under the bridge now. Pastors will take up their cross or they will be compromisers. As will all of us. In the end, each gives an account to GOD. If we are ashamed of the gospel, He says He will be ashamed of us. Rome did not spare the women and children from the lions. Our elders need to accept this and LEAD, lest they become a stumbling block to the oppressed

Thank you for that clarification MS, I am unfamiliar with this man and did enjoy this one sermon, for the most part. There were some questionable things stated, but overall, the sermon was very good. I doubt I listen to anything else from him, it's my practice to not focus on the preaching of any one man.
May the Lord be our Guide as we journey through this foreign land and onto our eternal home.
Ladybug, Just wanted to add further clarification to my post this morning concerning the speaker that I commented on. What *be careful* posted was what I believe to be true also of the said speaker, after hearing several of his lectures. Just in case I was misunderstood...
