The U.S. stock market endured its worst performance in 18 months on Thursday, driven lower by another slump in Chinese shares and heavy selling by technical traders.
The global rout started in China, where sharp declines in energy and property stocks pushed the Shanghai Composite down more than 3 percent. That selling soon spread to European and U.S. markets, where the Standard & Poor's 500 index moved further below a closely watched trading level.
Investors, facing screens full of red, retreated to their usual places of safety: bonds, gold and cash....
Adriel, you misconstrued my point. I can't help you, God must open your understanding and bring you to repentance from your dead works, your Creeds, confessions, quotes from dead reformed Calvinists don't equate salvation in Christ alone. If you truly trusted solely on Him, you would understand. Have a nice thanksgiving

Wow? It seems you have absolutely NO faith in faith? THUS no 'faith' in GOD's "gift"?
Wonder why God gave you such an ineffectual insignificant gift? Btw: If God gave the elect the ability to "TRUST" ? = (Faith)?
???
.... Sirs, what must I do to be saved? Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
1John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1Cor 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe."
Heb 10:39. Eph 2:8. Mark 16:16. Rom 10:9. 1John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith."

If Jim had a history of answering questions, maybe more questions would be asked. As for laying down his convictions for his critics to see, one of the criticisms is that he posts the convictions of those whose values he values, seldom answering any questions himself. That way he can say he only posted someone else’s opinion. We must admit he’s great dancer.
Let's not put words in my mouth Adriel. Faith does NOT save you, your 'faith' isn't the reason you enter into His kingdom. Many have 'faith' in their 'faith'. However, their 'faith' may not be genuine. Only the finished work of Christ saves, that is the ONLY propitiatory work that God the Father accepts. He doesn't accept your 'faith' as a means of entrance into His kingdom, He only looks to the finished work of His Son. He gives His elect the ability to trust in that work as the sole means of redemption, and the elect 'rest in Him'. Many will claim to believe on Christ, but what does He say to that? 'Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, *many believed in His name* when they saw the signs which He did. 24But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men, 25and had no need that anyone should testify of man, for He knew what was in man.' John 2 'Not everyone who says 'Lord, Lord' will enter the kingdom of God'... Saying you believe does not guarantee one is 'saved'. As stated, no one has the ability to 'place' their 'faith' in the finished work of Christ, otherwise faith is no longer a gift of God, for now it becomes a work of man....
If you had an ounce of discernment, you would be able to discern that which is false. Btw, we don't 'place' faith in anything. God gives faith as a gift to His elect- Eph. 2:8,9

Fact: no one comes to God unless called, and no one Jew or not will have salvation without simple faith in Yshua. Fact: Jews still looking for their messiah. Who has been and gone and they need faith in Yshua. Just to clear up any misconception.
Rc spiritually rich with blasphemy ,idolatry and lies, rich alright in false spirit and vile heresies.
I wouldn't like to be in Israel and I'm certainly not pertaining to dispensationalism, Israel are the nation God chose. And He Will keep His Promise to them. We have grace tthrough faith in Yshua and his work (finished on the cross) Question, all of you on here obviously read or listen to more than just the bible or you wouldn't be conversing on here? Not pertaining scriptures just in general.

in case you have not noticed we don't live in an Agrarian society, we put out more agriculture product with much fewer farms than we had 100 years ago and barter system is filled with its own problems, so you would be trading one set of problems for another.
The dispensational and messianic Jew heretics are gleefully voodoo dancing over the current correction in the stock market. They aren't just jealous of spiritually rich Catholics, but also the mammon rich secularists
If there was a 20 percent off sale at the local store, it would be mobbed with people seeking bargains. No different here--it's a good time to buy those stocks that you thought were too high before. As to the Jewish customs, I remember reading somewhere that surveys taken in the US show that a good third of Jews do not believe in God! And the modern country of Israel is a very secular state, even liberal by many American conservative standards. What moves many American evangelicals to support the modern state of Israel is the teaching of dispensationalism, thanks in part to Scofield's Bible and John Darby.
I find facts regarding specific Jewish law coinciding with wonders in the heavens and Jewish holy days and feasts most interesting.
Dave we must be careful speculation will take us away from believing in the simplicity of faith in Christ. This man is selling books on the back of peoples fears and not faith in Christ. The whole book of Hebrews warns us against going back to Judaism, Christ is the fulfilment of all the Jewish Laws and ceremonies, these things came to an end at the coming of Christ Rom 10:4.
Jewish society is under the law by default, they're still waiting on the messiah,as we all know through observance we shall not find salvation but through faith we desire to please God, love God and obey his word. So having said that I believe that the Lord still works throughtthe holy Spirit to convict nonchristians, Jews have always required signs, I don't know I would go so far as to say sell your shares and run for the hills based on this dude's predictions as blind Freddie can see we're headed for an economic and social collapse, but also God is in control he set the planets and universe in motion seasons, times and events, I find facts regarding specific Jewish law coinciding with wonders in the heavens and Jewish holy days and feasts most interesting.

We will know if Cahn is correct by October, personally I don't give much credence to such so called prophets. All his prophetic claims depend upon the Jewish ceremonial law still operating today but along with the Reformers I believe them to have passed away and therefore not applicable today, and so not having the significance Cahn puts on them.
it will have to collapse. a new currency and new trade agreements have long been in the works. the world knows it too. HUGE stories coming out every day in these regards that doesn't hit our controlled soviet-esque news. countries on the dollar suffer to pay for living expenses today, and the bankers got their trillions, now the depleted worth of the currency rests on the world and they don't like it. neither do they like America's aggressions.
they have literally burned up the currency through debt, the housing bubble of the 2000's, the pushing out of industry. this has all been done by design, look at agenda 21 for instance, always said they would de industrialize the west, and they have.
stock market is inflated on imaginary numbers not on actual worth. actual worth is mom and pop who own their own land and trade food with their neighbor per the holy scriptures, its families and children....
