Another One Bites the Dust

Spurgeon. Pillsbury. Atlantic. Calvary. Northland. Now Tennessee Temple. These are all names of fundamentalist educational institutions that have closed their doors (through dissolution, merger, or “gifting” their campus to another entity) over the past decade or so. The most recent, Tennessee Temple, had been standing on wobbly legs for years. This week its board voted to shut the doors and to merge whatever is left of the school into Piedmont International University. Upon receiving word of the closing, one colleague remarked, “Another one bites the dust.”

Tennessee Temple will probably not be the last fundamentalist institution of higher learning to go bust. Most—maybe all—of the schools within historic fundamentalism are struggling for funding, students, or both. Some have managed to increase revenues by going to Internet-based education. Others have attempted to increase their constituency by ...

It is very strange why such good educational institutions are closed. In our country, not so large a percentage of educated people and just these institutions could raise this level. Now I work for one service ]]rewarded essays and I am engaged in helping lagging students write essays or dissertations.

Well, what can i say... It is just awful. We have such a bad situation in our educational sphere and news like this one confirm this idea. Our government should really find some more money for great educational institutions. I write just the ]]best essays of all time so i always talk to students. And what can i say? They struggle because of this. So how many schools will be closed in the nearest future?

I believe the bible gives us the heart of the matter when it comes to the downfall of these fundamental institutions.
Jer 6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, WE WILL NOT WALK THEREIN.

Amazing article. Mormonism is included by the author with "professing Christianity"?

I struggled for most of the article to see how the author defined fundamentalism, but in defining evangelicalism I think I got it...fundamentalism is just a byword for biblical Christianity.
