The 7 Faith-Filled Words Rev. Franklin Graham Said During Scary Plunging-Elevator Mishap
How would you react if the elevator on which you were riding–high above the ground floor of an old office building–suddenly stopped moving, then jerked violently and without warning began to fall?

It’s the kind of heart-stopping, horror-movie scenario that a group on a charity mission in Vietnam lived through. Among that group was Rev. Franklin Graham, the son of evangelist Billy Graham, along with Fox News Channel host Greta Van Susteren.

I agree with both you both brothers Shane and Frank...I would add that innuendo and subterfuge is mainly what I see that propels the comments to go into a downward spiral.
But I agree that all should be done decently and in order.
May all of us remember Who we represent.

I also encourage all to take me to task when I am out of order as well.
Please.

Brother Frank, I kindly agree with your comments

I agree that we should be kinder to each other. In fact, the love we have for each other should be the strongest love there is in this sinful world. However, as long as we are not saying when Jesus called the Pharisees blind devils and when He cleansed the temple, He was not kind and loving. We are told to love our enemies and it has always been my contention that He showed love for these folks when He did that and they were indeed His enemies. Therefore, I think it is safe to say that it all depends on our circumstances and who we are confronting. Are they in the body of Christ, are they outside the body of Christ, are they teaching and practicing heresy or are they confused brethren. All of these have to be considered and I personally address each of these groups differently according to my discernment, which I admit can be wrong and then we debate.

I have always been one who thinks that kindness, love, etc. are things of the heart, not necessarily in our communication skills. Paul was kind when he publicly confronted Peter.

One thing is for sure and I'm sure we would all intellectually if not pragmatically agree; only the Lord can change a heart. I encourage anyone to call me to task and correct me when I am being unkind as long as they do that in kindness.

"“If it goes down,” said Rev. Graham, “I’m going up.”"

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Love for our blessed Lord and Redeemer and for the souls for whom He died, will be the exact measure of our zeal in exposing the dangers by which peoples souls are ensnared.

Ecumenists talk much about love toward man, but what about love toward God and His Word?
They point their fingers at the strict Bible beliver and charge him/her with being judgemental/unloving because they exercise discernment and separation.
To love a false teacher does not mean that we turn a blind eye to their errors and strive for unity with them, regardless of their doctrine and practise.
We are to obey the Bible and mark & avoid them..Romans 16:17,18. and EXPOSE their errors publicly to protect those who might be led astray by their teachings.
Some on this board have diligently done this, only to be lambasted, falsely maligned,
ridiculed, etc.
So be it...We ought to obey God rather than men!
Sounds like you are saying we should first and foremost love the Lord and the word that He has given us. Amen to that!

5:12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

6:1 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?
2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.

Christians are called to judge, but the apostate world pleasing church has decieved many into believing otherwise.

John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

1 Corinthians 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

God Himself doesn't purpose to judge a man until he is dead. So why should you??
I think the issue most of us are considering and wanting you to see is what our belief consists of. In other words, is our faith pleasing and acceptable to our heavenly Father. If we don’t have saving faith, then Christ said we were “already” condemned. Now in your way of thinking anyone and I mean anyone who names the name of Christ is saved. In the minds of most who post here, they don’t believe man can simply make up their own Savior to worship and follow. You view is similar to someone in the easy believism, ecumenical camp.
Do you believe Obama is saved and if not, why not? I think that would answer a lot of our concerns. I remember Huckabee saying he didn't know and since Obama claimed to be then he wouldn't question him.The word for “already” in the below is not in the future tense.

2235 ede ay'-day apparently from 2228 (or possibly 2229) and 1211; even now:--already, (even) now (already), by this time. see GREEK for 2228 see GREEK for 2229 see GREEK for 1211

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Dolores said "...like so many on here that hate and are angry at those that disagree with their beliefs).."
You didn't answer my first question and now I will ask you again,to whom are you referring? Yourself? Those who are exposing error on here are not angry, just obedient and steadfast.
And,like the BG reading stuff, those one liners can be off from God's word too.
If one cannot judge actions, then one cannot correct their children, participate in a judicial system and in your case (as you have "judged" those of us who expose error on this thread),then you,so as to avoid hypocrisy, ought not to make judgments.

Dolores. Would you say Paul the apostle was angry and judgemental when he told the galatian church that if they accepted circumcision that Christ would be of no effect. That anyone who did it for salvation purposes would fall from grace? Then he says that he wished that the one who brought that teaching into the church would "emasculate themselves"! You know what that means? Based on the logic you are presenting, he would be a judgemental person and angry. But then BG is on record as saying there are many on this earth that are in the body of Christ who don't even know him..? And anyone who takes him to task is judgmental and angry?

Sister. You know I love you.

A friend sent me these "one liners" by e-mail" that was really thought provoking and some funny that I have shared on here a few times. You read two just below and this one on earlier threads,"We are ccalled to be witnesses, not judges or lawyers". Here's another one along the same thought," Be ye fishers of men. You catch'em-He'll clean'em." Have a blessed day, Shane. Btw Paul, had religious zeal as he went about perscuting the christians and was on the road to Damascus to do more damage to the Christians and we all know what happened, he was blinded before he could see the truth of what he was doing.

Shane, he wasn't judging them for salvation. It was the same with the Pharisees, He was harder on the Pharisees because they were self righteous (like so many on here that hate and are angry at those that disagree with their beliefs) They thought they had a rightous zeal when they crucified Jesus, also.
