Women bishops change approved in the House of Lords

The Bishops and Priests (Consecration and Ordination of Women) Measure passed through the General Synod in July by the required two-thirds majority.

Archbishop Welby told peers: "Over the past 20 years, many women have given outstanding leadership as vicars, archdeacons and cathedral deans.

"Now, for the first time, every post will be open to them. For many people within the Church of England and others it has been a process full of frustration when looked at from the outside."

Calling for legislation before the general election, he said the bishops benches in the Lords would eventually include women "but that could take some time if the normal seniority system were simply left to take its course". ...

John U.K., I didn't pay enough attention to your two remarks the first time, both are interesting. It was good to hear something Christian was happening in your neck of the woods.

What man can be fooled into believing is pretty astonishing. Throughout history, mankind has believed in all sorts of manmade fables. There are many who will believe anything at all that can be dreamed up. Your comment made mr think of the rastafari religion which worshipped, and still worships the etheopian leader Hiley Salasi. I probably didn't spell the name right, but he taught that he was the father, the son, and his followers were (are) the holy spirit. Bob Marley is one of their prophets who invented reggae music which is still used, along with pot, in all their services, worshipping, etc. Really something.

Well brother, the Colombians probably worship Santa Muerte, which is an aberrant form of Catholicism and the North Koreans worship a man. My guess is I would live longer than you if you went to North Korea. I have often thought that if for some reason I outlive my wife, then I would pack up and move to Pakistan or Iran. In either country I would probably end up dead in a very short period of time. I think that would "rightfully" accuse me of blasphemy against the prophet whatever his name was.
Talking about Pakistan, there is a Christian refugee from there, who was so taken with the baptisms we had in the sea last Saturday, that he is hoping he may be baptised also. The Lord always speaks to him in the meeting, and blesses him so much. You are right bro, about it being a fierce country; he often speaks of his friends and relatives there who are in constant danger of their lives for holding to faith in Jesus.

Well bro, when we are aged and counting down the seconds to our death, why not use that short time to go spread the gospel in the sort of places that even missionary minded people will not go. You could head down the coast to Colombia to witness to the drug barons, and I could get a hold of some tracts and spend a few hours in North Korea as a witness for Jesus before being arrested and imprisoned.

I'm sure that for many people within the Church of England, this will be the final straw.
Pilgrim! I told my wife that if the U.S. elected a female president or vice- president that we were leaving the country. So, I guess the UK isn't the place to go. Are there any countries left in the world where that would be considered unwise?

Alien. I enjoyed your comment as well and I like your moniker. Reminds me of being a Pilgrim in a lost and fallen world.

Gentlemen, I liked your comments even though as something of an outsider I can only say that I'm sorry to see the continued deterioration of your state church, as it was pointed in the Spurgeon newsletter,

'...the State Church, which the great reformers had planted, and which some of them had watered with their blood, presented the spectacle which went far to justify the sarcasm of an eminent writer, that she possessed "A Popish Liturgy, a Calvinistic Creed, and an Arminian Clergy."' excerpt from ]]The Down Grade. It doesn't have anything to recommend it now.

We are hoping for the complete death of the Anglican arm, the country the Episcopal Church, q.v., ]]A New Exodus? Americans are Exiting Liberal Churches.

"The former lord justice of appeal said the qualities necessary to make a good bishop were every bit as frequently found in women as in men."

With the exception that GOD has already declared recorded and enshrined in HIS law that HE will not use women in the Pulpit.

The House of Lords and the House of Commons are inhabited by reprobates who wouldn't know the Bible from a bog roll. Therefore the legislation which emanates from these houses is entirely satanic and unbiblical.
In other words it is LIBERAL.

The real problem is that the Church of England is non-Biblical non-Christian and LIBERAL also.

1Tim 2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
& 1Cor 14:34,35.
