A 6.0-magnitude quake jolted the Bay area early Sunday morning, causing some road closures and damaging at least one building in the Napa Valley, but no injuries have yet been reported.
The quake struck near southwest of Napa at 3:20 a.m. causing houses to shake in the center of San Francisco and knocking out power to more than 50,000 houses.
The earthquake is the largest earthquake to shake the Bay Area since the 6.9 magnitude Loma Prieta quake in 1989, the USGS said.
God is speaking loud and clear to America, we still aren't getting it! Last year God opened up a sinkhole in a place where cherished corvettes slumberered; millions of dollars; lost. Napa Valley's wine country have taken a great spill, the losses will reverberate as the quake. Folks, we are in the beginning stages of retribution on this country, God's retribution to a nation who've officially said, anything that bears His mark is 'not wanted here!' How foolish a nation who rejects the King, how foolish.

I suppose we can't make two light of this earth quake, since we don't know the condition of some of the seriously injured people. But, wine prices may go up ]]http://www.mercurynews.com/eat-drink-play/ci_26397401/wine-napa-winemakers-sellers-assessing-earthquake-damage?source=rss_viewed (Napa earthquake: Winemakers, sellers assessing damage; some wineries closed). Being a teetotaler, it is of little concern to me. I really do hate seeing the cheat Missouri and Nebraska wines on grocery and drugstore shelves. I doubt this earthquake is going to change that.
Deanna, when you have one that throws your oven door open, and stuff starts falling off the shelves you'll wake up. I guarantee you. Earthquakes are good for much, but they make one very effective alarm clock. The problem is, you notice every little aftershock, until you become a real Californian, then I suppose you will only notice something when outdoor stuff starts swaying--and there's no wind.
I live in Discovery Bay, 64 miles from Napa. Just moved here two months ago from Houston for my husbands job. Thankfully we were sleeping very well and didn't feel anything.
