When U.S. troops invaded Iraq in 2003, there were at least 1.5 million Christians in Iraq. Over the last ten years, significantly in the last few months with the emergence of ISIS, that figure has dropped to about 400,000.
In a region where Christians predate Muslims by centuries, over one million Christians have been killed or have had to flee because of jihadi persecution, while America is basically standing by and watching. This is the sad news that Breitbart’s National Security Editor and one of the world’s leading experts on asymmetric warfare, Dr. Sebastian Gorka, brought to Breitbart News Saturday, hosted by Editor in Chief Alex Marlow on Sirius XM Patriot Radio.
Dr. Gorka explained that “in the last 48 hours, ISIS, which is now called the Islamic State in Mosul, has painted the letter “N” for Nazarene on the houses of all the surviving Christians in the city. ISIS has basically given an...
May God give us a heart for Christians who are being persecuted — may we be merciful and pray for our brothers and sisters in Iraq!
"And, in like manner also, the Spirit doth help our weaknesses; for, what we may pray for, as it behoveth, we have not known, but the Spirit himself doth make intercession for us with groanings unutterable, and He who is searching the hearts hath known what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because according to God he doth intercede for saints."
Rand Paul on CNN, "we are where we are because we armed the Syrian rebels. we have been fighting alongside al queda, fighting alongside ISIS, ISIS is now (unknown) in two countries. but here's the anomaly: we're with ISIS in Syria, we're on the same side of the war, so those who want to get involved to stop ISIS in Iraq are allied with ISIS in Syria"
McCain freedom fighters = al queda = ISIS
now all girls and women under ISIS in Iraq have been ordered to get mutilation surgery...

May we all behave worthy of God's calling and may God confuse our enemies who seek to destroy the lives and faith of God's people!

So you would agree if a non-Christian prez practices lawlessness and doesn't become Christian, he will be told this? Good to know.
Mike of NY, ah, two things, I really wish you would read the articles I mention It's American and Western countries companies that are benefitting, so what if the oil is shipped to the Far East, e.g., China? On top of that it allows these companies to sale oil they are pumping out of the ground -- or cooking out of oil sands -- to ship that to markets closer to home, which means more profit to them.
No, these people are not Christians, Penny,
Matthew 7 21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. 22 "Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' 23 "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.'---]]NASB
The should have a right to worship in an apostate way, even though of course that type of "worship" will send them to hell. A Christian is defined by, believing in ]]"Only Scripture," "Only Christ," "Only Grace," "Only Faith," and "To God Alone Be Glory" If they don't they aren't Christian.
Jessica, you are so right, instead of getting caught up in all this rhetoric of whose fault all this is, only God knows for sure what the intent of the heart really is, we can only speculate, these people are in need of our prayers. The middle east is very important to more than just the USA, oil is important to many other countries as well including Russia.

Actually you still appear to have a problem with math and history. We get little oil from Iraq, never did get much, and get less now than before the war. Hmmm. I wonder if it's enough to pay for a war for their oil?
btw, the war wouldn't have taken place without 77 Senate Democrats voting for it. But keep slinging dung- you never know, you might possibly fool somebody.

No, Penny, they aren't Christians, a Christian will believe in the 5 Solas, q.v., ]]What are the “five solas,” and what do they mean? But, they still have a right to practice their religion and in peace, and not Islamic "peace," either! yes, the Christians were hired for jobs under saddam. they lost their protection after that point. the deaths and diaspora begin soon after that.
and what few want to deal with is who ISIS really is and their funding and their purpose. we cannot forget about mccains "freedom fighters" in Syria and the congress debating the "agenda" that was causing CHristian genocide that was so important that they must continue.
yes Benghazi, fast and furious
the drug and arms running. time to take a step back and get the picture or we are doomed to continue supporting the genocide of believers, and in that case, the American church is Babylon and will soon do the same here, thinking they are somehow bringing Christ back through their heroism.
Congratulations to John for Jesus for asking appropriate questions. if we do not learn we will continue to put Christ's name on satan's work.
I must be mistaken because I thought we invaded Iraq as a result of Hussein invading Kuwait. A friend in SS class gave her testimony of how God delievered her and her husband( who worked at the Embassy) and were ordered to leave before it began by the government of the USA and the harrowing experiences they encountered trying to get out of that country and to safety. They were protected by our government not thrown to the wolves like the incident in Bengazia. When will the people who support this man (can't say President) start blaming the right people instead of wearing blinders and contiue to be in denial. We are going to be judged by who we vote in the white House and this one has done way more damage than good for America. Also wasn't Suddam behind 9/11 and the attack on America. I see clearly how the Anti-Christ will come in and win the world with his lies. Obama is one of the worst presidents we have ever had and yet he is still in there doing his damage. Nixion was impeached for much, much less. Just my two cents.
Makes me wonder if we should have bothered taking Suddam Hussein out. Seeing how the Muslims in power are worse than he was, not that he was good, and it is resulting in the mass destruction of Christians. Wasn't that supposed to be the whole point of being there? To prevent mass destruction.

Praise God that His children may be witnesses in that dark land. This article is politically spun, disregarding the sovereignty of God and the true state of Christians. ..to live is Christ and die GAIN.
Yes, under Hussain they were safe. As safe as everybody else. I've known one who ran here after we ran from there... He, and many other "Assyrians", descendants of those whom Jonah confronted and were converted at Ninevah, lived there in "relative" peace.
