Teaching creationism now banned in all UK public schools
The United Kingdom has banned the teaching of creationism as scientifically valid in all schools receiving public funding.
The government released a new set of funding agreements last week including clauses which specifically prohibit pseudoscience.
"The parties acknowledge that clauses 2.43 and 2.44 of the Funding Agreement [which preclude the teaching of pseudoscience and require the teaching of evolution] apply to all academies. They explicitly require that pupils are taught about the theory of evolution, and prevent academy trusts from teaching 'creationism' as scientific fact," one clause reads....

People "in the know" who didn`t want to be identified (wonder why) said this had been going on for at least 10 years!. But concurrent governments had turned a blind eye.
The BBC seems unable to give the unvarnished truth but seem to be habitual liars but then perhaps that's why they haven`t been made a subscription channel only as they give covering during a government`s incompetence being exposed. Makes me spit.

I don't know if it's still true and they're going against the majority of what the British want but in 2009, [URL=http://www.theguardian.com/science/2009/oct/25/teach-evolution-creationism-britons]]]Teach both evolution and creationism say 54% of Britons[/URL]. Oh, the lead-in line to the story was interesting as well, "British Council poll finds UK adults overtake Americans in wanting science teaching in schools to include intelligent design."
Just recently, after numerous complaints from the public it is reported that the Moslem administrators in Birmingham state schools had forced out the local teachers & installed radical teachers to pervert the kids & the government has known this has been going on for years .It is suspected this is happening in other cities while the government tries all sort of fudge as a smoke-screen. You couldn`t make this up if you tried.

During the Scopes Monkey Trial of 1924 Darrow who represented the teacher teaching the Theory of Evolution stated that it is the height of bigotry to teach only one theory of origins in the public schools. Now it seems the bigotry is on the other foot.
