Benny Hinn Asks $1,000 in 'Higher Seed-Level Giving'

Benny Hinn, Christian faith-healing evangelist, has asked supporters to step up to "higher seed-level giving" by donating $1,000 to his ministry, with the suggestion that they would enter a "new dimension of favor and increase" like he did after trying out financial teacher Todd Coontz's "thousand-dollar principle."

Hinn, whose followers number more than 1.7 million on Facebook and Twitter, credited Coontz as inspiration for the higher seed-level giving principle in a newsletter emailed to supporters over the weekend.

"I've believed in seed-faith giving for decades, and I've seen it work time after time, but where do you get this $1,000 teaching?" Hinn says he asked Coontz during a conference in Dallas. "He showed me from the Bible how Solomon offered a thousand animals to God. He told me there's something very special about the number 1,000 and the miracles he has seen when people cross that ...

I mentioned this on another thread and I see that it's really got popular since then! --not do to me of course. I thought I should mention it on thread where it won't get buried under a bunch of responses.

https://tinyurl.com/y52zfhlr (The preachers getting rich from poor Americans) excerpt from which,

Vicky Baker wrote:
....
A number of those making the most persistent pleas for money tap into something called the prosperity gospel, which hinges on a belief that your health and wealth are controlled by God, and God is willing you to be prosperous. Believers are encouraged to show their faith through payments, which they understand will be repaid - many times over - either in the form of wealth or healing.

For followers, it is a way to make sense of sickness and poverty. It can feel empowering and inspiring amid despair. The hard-up donors are often not oblivious to the preachers' personal wealth - though they may not know the extent of it - but they take the riches as a sign of a direct connection with God. If seed payments have worked for them, maybe they can work for you too?

And if the seeds never flourish? Some are told their faith is not strong enough, or they have hidden sin....

Yes Mike...a nice play on words. There doesn't seem to be much of a difference. What a testimony Hinn would have if he would allow Christ to change "himm".

Not a whole lot of difference between hindering the Gospel, and Hinndering it.

Why are you posting this? Everyone who is not a slave to Satan should have known now for decades that all Benny Hinn is is a shameless atheist nihilistic con man, only out for money, sex and adoration. Don't even use the word repentance with an enemy of the entire world like Hinn either, it would be the biggest mockery to Christ in modern times for these con men to do anything except die, or spend the rest of their natural lives in squalor working in the slums of africa to teach hygiene or something unrelated to preaching entirely.

ok Mr. Hinn, if the more money you give, the more money you get and you need more money, doesn't it stand to reason that you should give more of your own money away as seed money to garner a harvest for your needs?? Just wondering

Compare the man who had nothing, and when he needed money, took it out the mouth of a fish. And he is the owner of the whole universe. Benny Hinny has 45 million dollars already. His appeal from his followers should be give all you can, not to me but to deserving charities.

He has such a following because he has made a pact with the catholic church and with the devil. One might easily ask: why do people follow after the devil? The Bible says it's because their eyes are closed and because they have been deceived by the prince of this world. A lot of people who follow after such charlatans do so because their motives are evil...This probably helps to assuage what is left of,if any,the consciences of the ones who prey upon such.

"higher seed-level giving" by donating $1,000 to his ministry, with the suggestion that they would enter a "new dimension of favor and increase""

Isn't this the same idea that the Roman Catholics had/have when donations helped to bring them through purgatory quicker?

"In Thesis 28 Luther objected to a saying attributed to Tetzel: "As soon as a coin in the coffer rings, a soul from purgatory springs". The Ninety-Five Theses not only denounced such transactions as worldly but denied the Pope's right to grant pardons on God's behalf in the first place: the only thing indulgences guaranteed, Luther said, was an increase in profit and greed, because the pardon of the Church was in God's power alone" (Wiki)

Boy oh boy...show the world just one verified healing this guy has ever done...just one. There are not any, but people, en masse, continue to bow to this charlatain and send him their money because they are tricked into believing the nonscense these people spout; using the bible to back it all. "Send us your money, and send this much, even though you can't afford it and if you don't, you don't have faith...you don't trust God". What a devious trick, praying on the poor, sick, and downtrodden.
Why this guy has even one folower is beyond me because if you strip away the drums and guitars, the mood lighting, all the glitz and glamour; everything that works people up into a frenzy, all that's left is a short, little used car salesman wearing the expensive clothing, fine jewels, driving the expensive car, and living in the sprawling estates that all that faith money went towards. This man has been exposed over and over, says he received his annointing from a dead woman whose grave he still visits to top off his power, his ministry is littered with false doctrines, and after all these years, he cannot produce evidence for one bonafide healing.

Acts 20
32 "And now I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
33 "I have coveted no one's silver or gold or clothes.
34 "You yourselves know that these hands ministered to my own needs and to the men who were with me.

Benny is no idiot nor Apostle Paul either, though it appears he has nearly two million idiots supporting him.

I bet Benny would find another $1.7 Billion quite useful. I was just reading about false teachers looking for filthy lucre in Titus last night!
