Reid on Ground Zero mosque: Build it ’someplace else’
On Monday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada became the highest profile Democrat to break with President Obama on the Ground Zero mosque controversy.
The president, during a Ramadan celebration at the White House Friday, said that religious freedom allows the mosque to be built. But Obama backtracked a bit the next day, saying that he was not addressing the wisdom of building one two blocks from the site of the 9/11 terrorist attack in lower Manhattan.
