On Monday night on the "O'Reilly Factor", Brit Hume had the chance to reiterate the personal advice he offered to Tiger Woods last Sunday morning: for a full recovery, the scandal plagued (and Buddhist) golfer should "turn to Christianity."
"He needs something that Christianity especially provides and gives and offers, and that is redemption and forgiveness. I was really meaning to say in those comments yesterday more about Christianity than anything else...I think that Jesus Christ offers Tiger Woods something that Tiger Woods badly needs."...
Brit Hume clarified this comments about Christianity to mention Jesus Christ. Now that is what witnessing is all about. Jesus said it twice about being ashamed of him in the Bible, and Mr. Hume you certainly made it clear to eveyone you are not asheamed of Jesus Christ!
"Whosoever, therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels." Mark 8:38 (KJV)
"For whosoever, shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels." Luke 9:26 (KJV)
When something is mentioned more than once, Christians need to pay extra attention!
May God bless you and your loved ones with good health Mr. Hume, in this New Year. May your light coninue to shine in a world full of darkness!
has anyone seen the comments below the actual article. Disgusting, ignorant of what Christianity is about (i.e, confusing it with Catholicism) and sad. I rather not indulge my pride my getting into a cyberfight over all this, though, so I will keep my comments for that sight to myself. BUT, contrary to one of those comments, stating what you believe is not being ignorant of another religion, particularly Buddhism, for GOODNESS' sake!!
the tiger cannot see the trees for the woods, the snares of the evil one that creates a wandering heart which results in pain only treated by repentance and a following of the Lord Jesus. This wandering is not unique to one people or country as we in Northern ireland have today evidenced such a sad incident involving one of our believing unionist politicans.Sad sad day.
