President Barack Obama and his family attended Sunday services at St. John's Church, an Episcopal church on Lafayette Square just across the street from the White House.
Obama, first lady Michelle and daughters Sasha and Malia listened to a sermon about how Christianity has consequences.
Mike Angell, a seminarian of the church, told the parishioners that the consequences vary, whether it's making a hard decision at work or deciding to give more time to God.
There are some Anglican Churches trying to get closer to the Bible, but they don't need any 39 articles, all they need are the five solas, ]]"Only Scripture," "Only Christ," "Only Grace," "Only Faith," and "To God Alone Be Glory". The Anglican Church that broke away from the main Anglican Church is getting back to the scriptural roots of Anglicanism by adhering to the Thrity-Nine Articles Of Faith of the Anglican Church. So it is false to state that all Anglican Churches are unscriptural.
Obama and family should convert to the Baptist Church because the Baptist Church is the best church and that is coming from a Catholic. Obama would have to become Born Again if he joined the Baptist Church.
Instead of the Wikipedia article, Jim, I think it is better to see the Anglican 39 articles, which clearly state the sufficiency of the scriptures and Christ alone in salvation. It sounds perfectly acceptable and Bible-believing, but probably holds to different interpretations than you or your church do--something quite common in the non-Catholic world.
