Five sharia courts have been set up in London, Birmingham, Bradford and Manchester and Nuneaton, Warwickshire. The government has quietly sanctioned that their rulings are enforceable with the full power of the judicial system, through the county courts or High Court. Previously, the rulings were not binding and depended on voluntary compliance among Muslims.
Lawyers have issued grave warnings about the dangers of a dual legal system and the disclosure drew criticism from Opposition leaders.
Dominic Grieve, the shadow home secretary, said: "If it is true that these tribunals are passing binding decisions in the areas of family and criminal law, I would like to know which courts are enforcing them because I would consider such action unlawful. British law is absolute and must remain so."...

Since the 60's the parties have all moved into a realm of merging or blending political ideology into one single dimension. It is a form of liberalising authority to remove the traditional leadership previously inherent within westminster, (etc), in Britain. This is also happening in other areas of society, eg judiciary. A programme on Radio 4, noted that if you looked at Westminsters work in the 1950's it related more to the overall running of the country, eg Defence, infrastructure etc. Today the parliament has its hands in every institution, like schools and hospitals to the detriment of same. The old localised "professional expertise" is administered in a bureaucratic way by modern political interference. Statesmanlike leadership is lost and not to be found in modern political party ideals. Look how difficult all three parties are experiencing to find a leader. But this is a sign of the times in all areas of society today in UK.
From a Christian perspective, it is a nation who has lost their way and God is not blessing them for it, why should He? They have dumped the Bible for human autonomy.

They may as well since Britain is getting rid of all authority, - political, judicial, social and of course moral.
