Sen. John McCain has burst into the national conversation about Barack Obama's big night with a stunning choice for vice president, bypassing conventional picks such as Mitt Romney and Tim Pawlenty to tap Alaska's 44-year-old first-term governor and former beauty queen, Sarah Palin.
McCain announced his choice at a rally in Dayton, Ohio.
"I have found someone with an outstanding reputation for standing up to special interests and entrenched bureaucracy, someone who has fought corruption and the failed policies of the past ... someone with executive experience who has shown great tenacity," McCain said of Palin....

How long will you continue to be fascinated with Barack Obama by telling lies that have been refuted on more than one occasion that he is muslim?
Please, stop the nonsense and move on! It is amazing that a man can look you straight in the eye and tell the world that he is a "Christian" and still, people want to call him a liar. I don't get it.

I think you meant Proverbs 31.
Eve fed Adam poison? He ate of it innocently, I suppose. It was she who was deceived, remember? Adam was the usurper, by disobeying, thus usurping God's authority. Adam wanted to eat the poisonous meal. Didn't personal responsibility even exist back then?

No more than one could claim to be a member and adherent of the Church of Rome and still profess to know Christ. In that they both profess works and signs as the basis of your salvation or standing before God, they are both false gospels.

rogerant, you didn't answer my yes/no question: Was it appropriate for WHI to chat up an avowed RC on an allegedly Reformed site?
So you don't trust Robbins' testimony. Fine then, see for yourself at ]]WHI 2007 Programs : they supply *no* caveats, & describe her Catholic faith as "Christian" & even provide a link to one of her books, which ought to horrify anyone claiming to identify with the Reformers. No confession of error or bad judgment either, though this is certainly not unique to your WCF heroes. In my experience over many churches, I have only ever heard one pastor make a public admission of error.
Neil wrote: Please detail how Robbins misrepresented or misquoted Horton. Where was the lack of "due diligence?" I know Horton isn't always mistaken, but he still ought to be held to account for any errors in judgment, esp. given his position as a seminary prof and a broadcaster.
The problem Neil is that Robbins does not quote Horton anywhere. He comments on Rosenthals answers to questions that he doesn't actually ask Rosenthal. Why doesn't Robbins deal directly with Horton.
And your man Robbins not only condemns Horton, he condemns other respected theologians like R.C. Sproul in the ame indirect manner.
"The basic theological and philosophical problem with organizations such as The White Horse Inn, Modern Reformation magazine, Westminster Seminary, Ligonier Ministries, Table Talk magazine, Stand to Reason radio, Summit Ministries, and Coral Ridge Ministries is not simply their failure, but their refusal to be captive to the Word of God. The “Reverend Doctors” think they are smarter – or at least more widely read – than the Holy Spirit himself, and so they promote the wisdom of men, not the wisdom of Christ" Quote John W. Robbins
This man is an island unto himself. We are warned to stay away some such as this.

I'm an independent voter, too. Is there any other kind?

You are correct that there is nothing in the Bible that prohibits women from serving in leadership positions in government. But some of the Fundamentalist Protestant men on here have a screw loose if they think that the Bible prohibits women from serving in leadership positions in government.
PALIN asked about this job ]]Obama the Community Organizer-taught by Lucifer admirer Saul Alinsky-his creed was set out in his book ‘Rules for Radicals’ dedicated to Lucifer..the ‘first radical’.
The seditious role of the community organiser was developed by an extreme left intellectual called Saul Alinsky. He was a radical Chicago activist who, by the time he died in 1972, had had a profound influence on the highest levels of the Democratic party. Alinsky was a ‘transformational Marxist’ in the mould of Antonio Gramsci, who promoted the strategy of a ‘long march through the institutions’ by capturing the culture and turning it inside out as the most effective means of overturning western society. In similar vein, Alinsky condemned the New Left for alienating the general public by its demonstrations and outlandish appearance. The revolution had to be carried out through stealth and deception. Its proponents had to cultivate an image of centrism and pragmatism. A master of infiltration, Alinsky wooed Chicago mobsters and Wall Street financiers alike. And successive Democratic politicians fell under his spell. Marxist revolution achieved by slow, incremental, Machiavellian means.
So you approve of erudite Roman Catholics (and writers of occult fiction at that) getting friendly interviews from Reformed scholars? Would Calvin or Luther have done that?
Please detail how Robbins misrepresented or misquoted Horton. Where was the lack of "due diligence?"
I know Horton isn't always mistaken, but he still ought to be held to account for any errors in judgment, esp. given his position as a seminary prof and a broadcaster. It is lack of this that has destroyed churches & denominations. To whom much is given, much is required.
Neil wrote: Very uncharitable, and begs the question of whether orgs like WHI or WCF are upholding the Reformation, or are actually undermining it. You sound almost hurt that anyone would find fault, so I now have no confidence that further remonstrance would help.
Have YOU listened to the program more than once, or are you taking another persons misguided and dishonest take. Mr Robbins has not done his due diligence here. I recommend that you read one of Mr. Horton's books or listen to a few of his shows.
I didn't realize that Christians would exercise the same type of due diligence that the mainstream media does.
And why are Christians so quick to demonize or judge others work because they don't agree with their doctrine.
