It's striking that both sides, Dems & many "right-wingers," practically foam at the mouth now over Bush, as if he were the Devil incarnate.
Why people think his ancestors' alleged misdeeds are relevant to the current administration is a mystery to me. Bush's basic problem is civil antinomianism, but then, many pastors have this problem too.

There is no question that GW has been more of an advocate for the RCC than John Kennedy ever was. This may be why GW has been able to avoid trouble with the Jesuits and Kennedy's fate thus far.
